Green Island offers the unique opportunity for a combined reef and rainforest experience, just 45 minutes from Cairns by fast catamaran. Home to over 120 native plant species and colourful bird life, surrounded by abundant marine life. Full and half day options available. Your day can be as active or as relaxing as you choose.

Green Island
Green Island is a beautiful 6000 year old coral cay. It's the only coral cay on the Great Barrier Reef with a rainforest! Snorkel from the white sandy beaches, see the island's reef from the glass bottom boat and walk through the lush rainforest.

5.00Excellent tour for limited time in Cairns very organized . Recommend paying for guided snorkeling out in the sea with marine biologists to see and learn so much more. Cara our guide was excellent conscientious and gave great information. She loves what she does and it showed! Good ROI for extra expense. Also we are glad we bought the underwater picture package not cheap but the professional pictures so much clearer than our rented underwater camera. It was great to be at Green Island with excellent facilities.

5.00Green Island is small but has all the charm of a tropical island. Colorful fish and turtles/rays can be seen snorkeling along the beach. The glass bottom boat is very interesting especially for children. The only downside is the world there is. I didn’t expect so many of us on the ferry and it was October

5.00This was amazing and recommended for anyone. We saw a lot of sea life just departing off the boat walking along the jetty. The glass boat showed us so many amazing creatures. We snorkeled and saw such diverse ocean life.

5.00This was a fantastic tour, well organised and staff made information very clear. Both the glass bottom boat and snorkelling were an excellent experience. We had fantastic weather and water was calm and towards the end of the day the tide was low so we felt confident snorkelling close to the wharf. Highly recommend this tour

5.00The glass bottom boat was a lot of fun! We saw a lot of fish and coral! Great for someone who doesn't go snorkeling/diving to see what it looks like! The snorkeling was fabulous! We saw turtles, rays, huge fish, black tip reef shark and saw a bat ray jumping out of the water! We highly recommend this tour!
