A stimulating and ambitious introduction to the many lives of “Dilli” re-lived in true DBC style: through the many lanes of Delhi – the Nizamuddin tour leads you through a city of mystics, saints, poets, rebels, forgotten Kings, English ladies, refugee colonies and nameless tombs – all buried in the giddying contrast offered by the upscale South Delhi neighbourhoods. Starting in the over-700-year-old settlement of Nizamuddin this tour hacks its way through the 21st-century concrete jungle and flashy lights of South Delhi to show you a city alive in unimaginable fragments.
The tour is 15 km long and includes tea and breakfast in the lush Lodhi Gardens. It is offered in the mornings (all through the year) and afternoons (from October till April only). DelhiByCycle is proud to have partnered with the Nizamuddin settlement based NGO – Hope Project, for this tour. Hope supports the local community of Nizamuddin in health care and education.

Jehu and Suraj were great hosts. We rode at a comfortable pace with multiple stops on the way - where Jehu gave the group little tidbits about the area. Highly recommended!

What a fantastic experience with Delhi by Cycle! Our arrival day was perfectly organized by owner Himanshu. It was the ideal, stress-free introduction to the city; everything was so well-arranged that we didn’t have to worry about a thing and could immediately soak up the 'vibe' of Delhi. The central theme of our private tour through North Old Delhi was the British rule and the struggle against colonialism, with a specific focus on the First War of Independence in 1857. With our guide Ahmer Khan, we visited impressive locations such as Kashmiri Gate, St. James' Church, Fraser House, and the Nicholson Cemetery. The walk through the cemetery and the Mutiny Memorial left a profound impression. Ahmer took us to hidden corners and monuments we would never have discovered on our own, effortlessly connecting history with modern-day Delhi. He is an incredible guide with immense knowledge, but above all, a special person who made this an unforgettable experience. The contrast with the Tibetan enclave of Majnu Ka Tila was wonderful; it’s a real hotspot for the local youth and a great place to enjoy delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere. The cycling tour through Lodhi and Nizamuddin on our other day was also flawlessly organized. It was amazing to cycle through the Lodhi Art District and admire the impressive street art; a beautiful modern side of the city. Cycling is truly the most authentic way to experience Delhi. For anyone visiting the city: look no further and book with DBC. Highly recommended!

It was a very nice discovery early in the morning with interesting cultural breaks, and culinary very pleasant for our taste buds. We were a small group, and we felt safe in the Indian traffic thanks to the guidance of our escorts Shivam and Suraj. Thank you!

First of all, it is a great experience to participate in the traffic in Delhi by bike where the guides (with me Sonali and Fays) make sure it is safe. The trip is very diverse. You will hear the story of Nizamuddin, cycle on major roads and through small streets, gaze at the beautiful wall murals and enjoy chaj and street food. I'd do it again in no time!

This was my second ride with Delhi By Cycle, and I can confidently say that the experience couldn’t have been better. Our tour captain was amazing. We rode through new places, discovered some unknown stories along the way, and made some great friends. If you’re in Delhi and haven’t tried this yet, or are looking for an experience to remember forever, this is the one for you. Don’t miss it. It’s truly amazing!
