What To Expect
The Peristyle of Diocletian's Palace
We’ll start our day with a walking tour of Diocletian’s Palace, where I’ll show you how the palace looked 1,700 years ago. Then we’ll enter the cellars to see how it was built. Next, we’ll walk through the southern part where the Emperor lived, visit the Vestibul (the grand welcome hall), and see the Peristyle, the palace’s main square. We’ll also visit all four gates and stop by the statue of Grgur Ninski, Split’s good luck charm. Finally, we’ll wander through the narrow Kala alleys, which will lead us back to our car for the next destination.
Klis Fortress
Perched high above Split, Klis Fortress offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Adriatic coast and surrounding mountains. As you arrive in your luxury van, the dramatic stone walls and rugged towers immediately set the tone for a journey through centuries of Croatian history.

Henry was an amazing guide and shared fascinating stories about Emperor Diocletian, Klis Fortress, and the beautiful town of Trogir. Everything was perfectly timed and we managed to avoid the crowds, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Split!

Our guide Henry was extremely knowledgeable and organized the tour in such a way that the history and the culture of the Croatian people seemed to come alive as we walked through the old city. My wife and I are not inexperienced when it comes to tapping into the resources of local tours and we expect excellent service and information. This tour far exceeded our expectations. 5.00Best time we had on our vacation! Henry was such a great guide and made all the stories he told flow effortlessly into each other. Diocletian’s Palace alone was worth it, the view of Split from Klis was spectacular, and Trogir at nightfall, with all the Christmas decorations, left us speechless 🥳
