Plitvice Lakes are Croatian largest national park. Since 1949 Plitvice Lakes were proclaimed a National Park, and as from 1979 have been listed on UNESCO World Heritage List.

Lakes are a true gem, where nature did its best with creation. Plitvice Lakes are a maze of sixteen cascade large lakes, breathtaking waterfalls and larger number of small lakes.

Walking trough you will witness beautiful colors of the lakes and forest around you. National Park offers you also a road train ride and boat ride across big lake.

Geographical position of the Lakes allows you see the Lakes weather you are starting your trip from Zagreb or from south (Split, Zadar…). Starting from any of this locations, it would be a true sin not to include Plitvice Lakes if you are taking any of this routes.

In any scenario, it is a easy combination of our state of the art highways and beautiful panoramic local roads which will allow you to see small towns and villages of Croatian inland.

What To Expect

Split

We will start our Split to Zagreb via Plitvice Lakes transfer by picking you up at your hotel or private accommodation address at previously agreed time of departure with one of our private cars or minivans. You will enjoy in relaxing drive through Croatian hinterland combined with some of the most beautiful landscapes trough our mountain regions with photo or coffee stops along the way before you get to know natural gem. Duration of the trip from Split to Plitvice Lakes is approx. 2:45 hours.

Plitvice Lakes National Park

National Park Plitvice Lakes is one of the most popular destinations, not only in Croatia. In fact Plitvice Lakes are on UNESCO World Heritage list as from 1979., and it is the oldest national park in South East Europe. Tour of the National Park takes roughly 3 hours, and it includes walking/hiking along lower and upper lakes, ride with electric boat over the largest lake and for those who get tired at the end they can rest on the road train and enjoy in the ride trough thick forrest. On your request, we can recommend you one of „local restaurants“, where you will enjoy food from Lika region. Lika is well known for excellent lamb, trout fish, cheese, potato…etc. Upon finishing your lunch we begin our 25 minute drive to Rastoke.

Our guide, Stipe, was the perfect host. He was an informative and humorous conversationist. His lunch recommendation was really good. He also really helped us out when another tour canceled on us. He SAVED our trip! 10-star rating! Also need to mention the park guide Marjanna was also really good. She knew everything about the park and all the animals and plants there. If you're into foraging, it's definitely an added dimension to the amazingly beautiful park.

We had a wonderful experience with our transfer and our guided tour through the National Park. Ivan, our driver was professional and fun to talk to on the drive. Mariana, our guide through the park was great. She knew how to use our time efficiently to see all the best waterfalls and lakes. It was a very nice day and wonderful way to travel between cities!

I can’t speak more highly of our experience! My partner and I were driven from Split to Zagreb, with a stop at the Plitvice Lakes, and the ride was wonderful. Our driver, Tiho, was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating, and a fantastic driver! We were greeted on time in a beautiful brand- new Mercedes, and Tiho was wonderful from the start. He got us to all of our destinations on time, and was able to answer every question we had. He’s so knowledgeable about Croatia and was happy to have a conversation when we wanted one, or give us some quiet time when we felt like napping. It was a truly luxurious ride. We felt safe and cared for the entire time, and had absolutely no worries about leaving our luggage and passports in the car with Tiho as we explored the lakes. I can’t recommend Tiho enough! If you’re interested in a private transfer, look no further!

We had Tihomir provide us with three transfers. Dubrovnik to Split, Split to Plitvice Lakes, then Plitvice Lakes to Zagreb. The service was the most amazing I have experienced with a transfer company. Tiho was on time, very informative and got us to each destination without fuss. He gave us ideas for our activities at each destination. Anyone traveling to Croatia needs to book these guys, don’t bother driving yourself!

What an amazing journey. Was apprehensive before the drive but Bozo was wonderful. So full of information and so courteous. He made the journey so comfortable that I wish I had known him for my trip from Dubrovnik to Split as well. So glad to share this with everyone. Must say something about the car as well. It was new and so comfortable. Highly recommend using this service.
