No overcrowding this is a semi-private excursion. A maximum of 12 guests will enjoy a 4 hr trip from St. Thomas to St John. At one of the many snorkel spots around St John (Trunk or Maho Bay, Christmas Cove) or nearby uninhabited Cays (Mingo, Lovango or Stevens) you will have snorkeling gear to explore coral reefs that are home to tropical fish such as snapper, parrotfish, sturgeonfish, squirrelfish and other sea life including swimming with turtle. Once the group is finished snorkeling, enjoy complimentary soda and beer. After snorkeling, we will whisk you away to either Hawksnest Bay or Honeymoon Beach at Caneel Bay (weather dependent). Perhaps the prettiest beaches in the Virgin Islands, you will enjoy the white sand beach and crystal blue waters. Guests will enjoy MV Island Flyer our new 36' Blue Planet Power Cat ; a 36' Twinvee Powerboat or our 31' Wellcraft powerboat, or other comparable vessel as available.

Seas the Day USVI is dedicated to a healthy experience. Each of our vessels are sanitized after each trip using established CDC and WHO guidelines. Since this is primarily an outdoor activity, masks are not required but can be worn by our guests if preferred.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

What To Expect

We look forward to making sure you enjoy your time with us at Seas the Day Charters! You will meet your Captain and Crew at the Seas the Day departure lounge at American Yacht Harbor. The lounge is located on the lower floor immediately across from the entrance to "B" dock. From American Yacht Harbor, you will board a powerboat vessel for a fantastic four hours of snorkeling and beach hopping. Normally guests enjoy two locations. Depending on weather and sea conditions, these can include Maho Bay, Honeymoon Beach in St. John, St. James Island or Lovango Cay.

Super day with Captain Wallens on the water. Sea turtles, plenty of reef fish, and great music and drinks aboard. Sunset views were spectacular! Wallens was great captain and he’s Bills Mafia too! Go Bills!!

Pick up and drop off was close, in heart of Red Hook. Parking is at a premium. Best advise, park in ferry parking, if any available. The day we went out was raining, but still wonderful. There were 6 participants and a great captain. He did his best to keep us out of the rain. Note: there would have been 12 passengers but 6 did not show. Cat was comfortable for 6 but 12 would have been tight. Due to rain we stopped twice for snorkeling. We did not snorkel. We just enjoyed the scenery. The captain was so informative. The cat was well maintained.

We thoroughly enjoyed on time on the boat with the Montana Captain! He was personable easy to chat with, knowledgeable of the area and drove the boat so well even in windy conditions we had! The gear was good, drinks cold and generous. The three stops we made delivered what the advertisement said it would. 10/10 I’d do a tour with this company again! Cons: I consider myself a spoiled snorkeler- having seen so many beautiful reefs and underwater ecosystems in the Carribean, I was unfortunately disappointed with the reefs off St. John. We went on an overcast day so the sun wasn’t illuminating the underwater world as vibrantly, but despite the reefs looks wilted, gray, broken & thinning. Now if I had no experience snorkeling I’d probably love it because there were still a good variety of fish and swimming next to a giant sea turtle will always be AMAZING!

They canceled our trip with just over 12 hours notice due to not enough people signing up. Seems like a double standard, as they had a 24 hour cancellation policy for us. I’d be much more understanding if it was due to a weather/safety concern. They did offer to combine us with a different tour, but this did not interest us, as we specifically had wanted to explore around St. John. We were disappointed by the very late notice, as we did not have time to find a different tour and this was our only free time to go.

We booked this tour less than 24hrs in advance and received fantastic service from the start! We ended up being the only group on the boat, it was a pleasant surprise. Captain Maddy was fantastic, funny, and educational. She guided us through the different snorkel spots ensuring we kept an eye out for the resident sea creatures. We spotted so much marine life and enjoyed some time with sea turtles. 100000/10 experience!

Great day on the water! Intimate excursion of 8 in total - 2 families of 4. JP was extremely knowledgeable and flexible throughout. He was able to find all the right spots - fish, turtles (so many), beaches and history of the area. Communication from booking to excursion was great. Overall - outstanding experience, thank you JP!
