Join us for a magical evening away from the city lights, where nature and silence create the perfect setting. We take you to a secluded shelter in Vikran, surrounded by snowy mountains and coastal wilderness. A cozy bonfire, delicious food, and the hunt for the northern lights await.

We pick you up in Tromsø and drive 40 minutes south before starting a 30-minute scenic hike to the shelter. Along the way, we look for animal tracks, as lynx, wolverines, eagles, and hares roam nearby.

At the shelter, we gather around a crackling bonfire, enjoying warm drinks and tasty food cooked over the flames. You can even try making traditional Norwegian campfire bread.

If the sky is clear, you’ll have the chance to witness the northern lights dancing above, creating an unforgettable Arctic experience.

After an evening of wonder, we hike back and return to Tromsø, leaving you with lasting memories.

Feel the crisp air and leave the city life behind for a while. Learn to relax within in the nature!

What To Expect

Vikran

Vikran is a quiet, coastal wilderness surrounded by snow-covered mountains and untouched Arctic nature. Here, travelers will experience the serenity of the North, far from city lights, making it an ideal location for northern lights viewing. The area is rich in wildlife, with chances to spot tracks from lynx, wolverines, hares, and other animals in the snow. A cozy, sheltered camp provides the perfect setting for a bonfire, warm drinks, and traditional outdoor cooking. With minimal light pollution, Vikran offers a breathtaking view of the starry sky and, on clear nights, the magical dance of the northern lights.

Beautiful experience that I highly recommend. My family and I had a great time. Great food and great hot drinks. Private driver. We also saw wild animals and footprints and the guys were very good at explaining everything. They also take you to see the Northern Lights, in our case it wasn't possible to see them, but it was worth the trip! Council!! 5 stars deserved

Our guides were 2 local boys and they pepared us with some good stories about the area and also some selfmade food that they cooked over a campfire. The athmosphere was so magnificent around Midnight with all the snowfall and mountains around us. We really enjoyed the trip and will remember it. Thank you!

We had the most amazing, unforgettable time. Our guide, Endre, was so professional and experienced but most of all, he was so knowledgeable and passionate about outdoor life in Tromso. He tried so hard to follow the Lights but although it was just glimpses, we were not disappointed as we had a magnificent moonlit trek. A genuine highlight of our visit to Tromso!
