Learn to surf with us in Cascais or take your surfing to the next level while getting to know some of the best and most beautiful surfing beaches in Lisbon area!
Our local certified surf instructors are passionate about surfing and take having fun in the outdoors seriously. They will adapt the surf lesson to your level and will make your experience FUN, SAFE and UNIQUE!
The usual surf spots are Guincho beach and Carcavelos beach but your instructors will take into account your surfing knowledge and the daily surfing conditions to choose the appropriate surf spot for you.

What To Expect
The total duration of the activity is around 2hr. You will either have the surf experience at Carcavelos beach or at Guincho beach (depending on your surfing skills and ocean conditions). The surf lessons consist on surf practice and surf theory. Every surf lesson will start with explaining the conditions of the spot (the beach, types of waves, currents, reference points), followed by warm-up and stretching exercises. First exercises and explanations are done on the beach (paddling, position on the board, take-off techniques, safety in the water, balance). Then, you will jump into the water to put into practice everything you have learnt on the sand. Once in the water, you will be under constant supervision of your instructors who will attentively control and comment on your performance, help you choose the right waves and correct your position if necessary. The only thing we ask of you is to relax and enjoy yourself! WHAT TO BRING: Swimming suit, towel, sun protector, water and comfortable clothes & footwear. You don´t need to bring any surfing gear. We provide wetsuit + surf board.

5.00Fantastic experience! Instructor was nice, encouraging, and patient with my difficulties in standing up on the board. We found some great waves along the Portuguese coast, discussing as well how to look for that "perfect wave" to try to surf.

5.00João was such a lovely, fun and patient guide - and the beach where we did our surf lesson was gorgeous. We also did boulder climbing, and sport climbing on the sea cliffs. Sintra, where we had our picnic and bouldered, was beautiful, and our cliff climbing at the coast was stunning too. I’d go on a Cascais Routes adventure again in a heartbeat; it was absolutely brilliant. João couldn’t have been more relaxed or more helpful. It was also really good value. 5 star!
