We also provide surfing photography and videography for an additional fee, please inquire with us prior to your lesson in order to reserve capturing your surfing session!

What To Expect
General: All the classes will last 1.5- 2 hours long and will have a 15-30 minute theory session to go over terminology and surfing basics to keep our minds fresh. Beginner: -Learn the parts of the surfboard -Body Positioning -Beach Practice -Standing up -Surf! Intermediate/Advance: -turning -reading waves -board and body positioning -short board/long board styles Lessons can be done in small groups or private. Depending on the surfing conditions we may travel to a different part of the beach to fit every persons surfing needs. The lesson does include surfboard rental, however if you have specific board preferences please let us know and if you have your own board we also welcome you!

5.00Had a great lesson with Mariano in Tamarindo. Even after one lesson, I have a good solid understanding of what I need to continue to do to improve at this sport. Mariano is super knowledgeable, patient, and keeps the learning process simple and fun! I'd highly recommend getting a lesson in with him.

5.00I took my first solo surf lesson with Mariano and Grace and they were amazing. They made me feel very comfortable and I was able to stand up almost every wave I caught. If I could give them 10 stars I would- definitely coming back for another surf lesson and would recommend everyone to go and take lessons from them!

5.00I took 2 surf lessons, one with Grace and one with Mariano. I am a beginner surfer and they both took lots of time to make sure I was as comfortable as possible before we began surfing. I definitely recommend booking with either of them regardless of whatever level you’re at!

He’s Willing to push you out of your comfort zone witch is the only way you are going to improve in the water at any level & has a great sense of humor so get ready for all the jokes!

5.00I went to Tamarindo with the idea of learning to surf and I was lucky to have Mariano as an instructor. You can tell that surfing is passionate and you know the Tamarindo Sea like the back of your hand. It explains everything very clearly and gives very good tips for improvement, which made me feel safe and progress more than I expected. The experience exceeded my expectations, and if I return to Tamarindo, I would definitely take classes with him again. I totally recommend it!
