We greatly enjoyed this cruise. The crew made us feel welcome. The boat didn’t feel crowded because they limit the number of people to a reasonable size group. Drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic) were included in the price. The sushi was quite good, although I was hoping there would be some tuna sashimi as I know the tuna here is delicious.

I just completed the sushi sunset tour and to be honest, was incredibly disappointed. We thought the captain and boat crew were very friendly, but the food quality and amount was really disappointing. Instead of having a table in front of you to eat, you’re seated along the perimeter of the boat on a wooden bench. They do have a “bar” that you could presumably stand to eat at, but has limited space and not everyone can fit. The boat is very awkward and uncomfortable to sit for 2 hours and, without a table, a very awkward way to eat food. They first offered 4 pieces of sushi to everyone (did not tell us what was in the sushi or give us options to choose from). Then, offered an additional 3 pieces two separate other occasions. The sushi was served in plastic containers that looked and tasted like it came from a gas station or grocery store. They handed around soy sauce packets which was awkward to open and use as the tray were sitting in our laps on a moving boat. Despite advertising mocktails, none were offered, which was disappointing as we don’t drink alcohol. We chose a soda which is not something we generally enjoy either, but was the only non-alcoholic option besides water. Additionally, one of the other guests smoked multiple cigarettes on the trip and, since we were in a confined space, there was no place to escape to from the smoke. I was hoping one of the crew members would ask her to stop smoking, but they didn’t .The whole experience was far from romantic and luxurious, which is what was advertised: plastic trays, plastic containers for the fruit “dessert” at the end, the trash can sitting right in front of everybody and overflowing with garbage. I really am not trying to be negative and mean, but this was something I was really looking forward to- on Christmas Eve no less- and was so disappointed. I felt like we were advertised a luxurious trip and instead we were taken advantage of as silly tourists who would be easily conned. Additionally, our group was 14 and it’s advertised as max of 12. Save your money and go pick up a meal to eat on the beach and watch the sunset or just go to a restaurant. I’ve never had to leave a review like this before and I’m not trying to bash them, but I want everyone spending $85/person to know what they’re getting for that amount. I spent the same amount for a four course meal at a fine dining restaurant in Bonaire that had views of the sunset.
