Swakopmund Jetty
There aren’t many towns that offer quite as much to the traveller on foot as Swakopmund. The historic town is located where the desert hugs the Atlantic Ocean, north of Walvis, and was the original settlement of German colonists. Swakopmund has a distinctly quirky style that managed to survive even with its growth in size. A walk along its roads reveals little treasures that are easily overlooked otherwise. Make a trip of it and take our walking tour to get the most out of Swakopmund.
See all the desert that the area has to offer in this full/half day tour, by doing it with Explorer Tours in the morning, Welwitchia/Moon Landscape in the afternoon. The ever-popular Welwitschia/Moon

We had a very informative tour with Natal, our guide, taking every opportunity to share his knowledge. The visit to individual homes provided a great introduction to the language, culture and traditions of Namibia. The tour was efficiently organised and we would highly recommend this tour.

We do not regret having participated in this visit. We learned a lot about life in the township and about Namibia in general. Our guide took a lot of time to give us explanations and introduce us to the daily lives of the inhabitants. The tour lasts 4 hours, which are full between the local market, visits to the Damara and Herero tribes, the crèche and finally the typical meal (try the dried caterpillars! ) accompanied by gospel songs. What to do if you pass through Swakopmund!

The highlight in my opinion was the exchange of information, the unlikely knowledge without the help of a local guide, finding similarities with Brazil and hospitality. My mother fell in love with the children at the kindergarten.

The guys were great, with this tour you see a part of the city and Namibia that if you didn't you wouldn't understand. I highly recommend because they are explained very well their history, traditions and their food. Always remember to bring something useful for children's schools! Good guys, good work!

we had such a wonderful time, learning about the history of Namibia, and it was such an eye opener. Didn't know much about the country before my visit. Our guide Antonia and the other guys were excellent. What impressed the most was how clean the township is, event he informal settlements are clean and well organised. The highlight was meeting one of the Herero woman and going for a lunch at a local home. And we had a choir sing for us, it was just too lovely. Would highly recommend it.

Very impressive visit at the township. Nande is a nice knowledgable dude, driving you through the township, showing you things you wouldn't discover yourself. While giving you a lot of information about the history and development of the township. We met different people and learned about how they make a living. We enjoyed the food, the singers and the stories of the very nice Herero lady! Good luck, Nande with your business!

This township tour is highly recommended! Nande is himself from one of the townships and leads the group through various townships. There is a lot of information, you meet different cultures, get an impression of the food, the people and the lifestyle. In addition, you visit different people and end up eating typical food in Nandé's house and still get wonderful songs sung by the choir! A must if you are in Swakopmund!
