Swim with wild dolphins in the sheltered bays and islands off Rockingham, only 40-minutes by road from Perth. This is a unique opportunity to interact with the dolphins in their natural environment. Over the course of 30 years, the crew has befriended over 200 local dolphins, and this familiarity makes for an incredible day interacting with these amazing, intelligent creatures.

What To Expect
Rockingham Beach
Your day begins with a coach transfer from Perth or meet the boat at Val st Jetty, Rockingham (located in front of the Rockingham Cruising Yacht Club). On arrival you'll board the Perth Wildlife Encounters custom-made dolphin swim vessel complete with a large rear platform, making access to the water very easy. After your crew has located a pod, you’ll gear up with wetsuits, masks and snorkels (all equipment is included) and then dive into the fun, as you are quickly surrounded by excited whistles and splashes as the dolphins arrive to play. While many resorts provide opportunities to swim with dolphins, the crew’s rapport with these precocious marine mammals has created one of the best swim-with-dolphins excursions in Australia. Better still, Rockingham is a brief, 40-minute drive from Perth, making it an easy day trip. Following your swim, you’ll be treated to lunch with gourmet Seafood platters.

4.00The trip was a special experience for me and my family. The whole crew was super nice, welcoming and caring except one lady Ayla. When my dad and I got out of the water, we used the hot water hole to rinse ourselves a bit cuz it was quite cold. That lady went directly to us and took the hole from my dad’s hand saying “it’s been using too much.” We literally pumped twice and we were not the only people used them. Took facilities away from clients without reasonable explanations, especially when my dad doesn’t speak English, is quite rude and disappointing. Meanwhile, we would like to thank Ashton especially for her incredible assistance when our booking got messed up by TripAdvisor. She tried absolutely everything to secure all of us a position for this tour (BTW, if you reschedule/cancel a booked trip, make sure you contact the provider as well. Apparently TripAdvisor doesn’t notify the providers about changes and this happened twice to us on 2 different tours) As for the event itself, it was such a unique experience for all of us. However, holding each other’s belt makes it feel less free and more rushing and stressful. Compared to another similar tour we did before somewhere else, where we were just wearing safety vest and freely floating around the boat and waiting for the wild animals swam by. I wonder if this can be the same case for swimming with wild dolphins? Thanks again to the crew and Ashton for making this happen. It truly was an unforgettable experience for us.

5.00I would give it 10 starts if I could! It was an incredible experience! 😉 The team were very lively, kind and patient! Getting to snorkel with wild dolphins was amazing! I absolutely RECOMMEND this activity! I had to reschedule since on the initial date the dolphins were not sociable! And that's absolutely fine because we shouldn't make these majestic animals feel uncomfortable! ☺️

5.00We had the absolute best time with the crew today. Its been on my bucket list to swim with wild dolphins in their own environment for ages and the experience did not disappoint. The crew were all so experienced and made sure we all had the best time and got to see these beautiful dolphins. They explained about the dolphins and what their behaviour was, they were super respectful to the dolphins and knew when it was time to move on, they answered questions, we got a lovely lunch and a load of free photos. We couldn't fault it - thank you so Jackson, Bridget and the rest of the crew 😀🐬

5.00Had a great morning swimming with the dolphins with Perth Wildlife Encounters. From the pick up in Perth, to the drive down to Rockingham, and the swim itself, everything ran smoothly. We saw and swam with numerous dolphins. While there is no guarantee with wildlife, by all reports this is near enough to a sure thing. The system they employ has groups repeatedly in and out of the water so everyone gets a fair go. To top it off they provide a delicious, fresh lunch. Highly recommended.

5.00Such an amazing experience i did the swim with wild dolphins. The crew are so knowledgeable on the dolphins behaviour and where they will be. Got heaps of time in the water with the dolphins and they came up so close.

5.00Such a fantastic way to celebrate my Birthday🥳 I just loved it! The crew are amazing and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and understand the requirements. It’s certainly an adrenaline rush as you enter the crisp cool waters of Rockingham and then almost immediately you are greeted by dolphins and stingray! Our daughter is 12yrs old and she absolutely loved the whole experience as too did my husband. If you are reading my review then take this as confirmation that you are to book this trip! You will not be disappointed😎
