Rockingham Beach
Your day begins with a coach transfer from Perth or meet the boat at Val st Jetty, Rockingham (located in front of the Rockingham Cruising Yacht Club). On arrival you'll board the Perth Wildlife Encounters custom-made dolphin swim vessel complete with a large rear platform, making access to the water very easy. After your crew has located a pod, you’ll gear up with wetsuits, masks and snorkels (all equipment is included) and then dive into the fun, as you are quickly surrounded by excited whistles and splashes as the dolphins arrive to play. While many resorts provide opportunities to swim with dolphins, the crew’s rapport with these precocious marine mammals has created one of the best swim-with-dolphins excursions in Australia. Better still, Rockingham is a brief, 40-minute drive from Perth, making it an easy day trip. Following your swim, you’ll be treated to lunch with gourmet Seafood platters.

Amazing experience, such a privilege to be at close quarters with these beautiful animals. The hosts are fantastic - Jacko, Niamh, Lara, sorry can’t remember all the names - full of knowledge, enthusiasm and humour. Even my wife had a great time and she suffers from sea sickness and didn’t participate in the swimming. I came to Aus for the cricket but it won’t match this!

Well worth every penny - a bucket list experience. We had so much time in the water with the dolphins surrounding us and felt very safe with an experienced and friendly crew. Cannot recommend this experience enough.

this excursion was possibly the best experience ive ever had in my life! the value for money is absolutely there, wet suit and snorkelling equipment all provided- as well as lunch which was exceptionally tasty and hand prepared by a staff member. the crew are so incredibly helpful and did their best to include everyone (even solo travellers like me) and gave us so much information about the dolphins. we saw them on multiple occasions, and at one point one of the dolphins swam directly under me. they try their best to find the dolphins for you so you get a good value for money, and the dolphins generally enjoy seeing the people and do come close. i absolutely recommend you do this trip, you will not regret it!

This is a very strong wildlife-experience offering for those staying around Perth or willing to travel to Rockingham. It ticks many boxes: ethical interaction (wild animals, no feeding), well-equipped and professional. For us it was the ultimate “bucket-list” If you are somewhat flexible, comfortable in water, and excited about swimming with wild dolphins, You will have a most memorable day. Thanks to all the team at Perth wildlife encounters!

First things first. Had an amazing experience ticking off a bucket list item. Only made more amazing by the friendly, bubbly crew and the beautiful day. Saw lots of dolphins very shortly after departing the jetty, some getting very close truly an eye opening experience and put a huge smile on everyone's faces. The crew were very knowledgeable and had lots to share and answered all questions and made me feel safe, confident and comfortable. The was good to end off with a nice relaxing free swim and delicious lunch. Skill level was no issue as everyone is capable of participating and safety was always considered. Thank you for the amazing day and big shout out to Darcy for being so friendly.

I took my daughter and her 2 besties for my daughter's 16th Birthday - it was a beautiful calm morning, the dolphins were very friendly and playful. An incredible experience for all! The crew was wonderful, great quality wetsuits and snorkelling gear and yummy light lunch. We felt very safe in the sheltered bay and very well looked after. Would recommend to anyone, even people with limited swimming ability and fitness, as you just float on the water while dolphins swim around you. Just magic!

Oh my goodness. Such a special treat to snorkel and watch the indo-bottlenosed resident dolphins off Colburn Sound play in gorgeous weather! Our guides were very attentive and careful, and made sure that both dolphins and humans needs’ were taken cared of. Afterwards we had a scrumptious buffet lunch and some time to swim and snorkel to ourselves well within protected boundaries made by the Perth Wildlife Adventures team to ward off sharks. It was precious! Must do this again and never regret that I made this decision to enjoy one last final day in Perth by myself! Although I came solo, the team and fellow adventurers made me feel welcome and part of the family. Thank you so much!
