Seljalandsfoss waterfall
Seljalandsfoss is one of Iceland’s most famous waterfalls, known for its unique feature, you can walk behind it! The water drops 60 meters from a cliff, creating a magical view from all angles. It’s easy to access and perfect for photos.
Gljufrabui Waterfalls
Gljúfrabúi is a hidden waterfall just a short walk from Seljalandsfoss. It’s partly tucked behind a cliff, inside a small cave. To see it up close, you can walk through a narrow opening in the rock—be ready to get a little wet! Please note, access can be weather dependent, especially in winter when the path may be slippery or icy.

This was our second tour with East West and decided to book the private tour because we needed to be back a little earlier for a custom dining experience arranged through a local chef. Martin picked us up right on time and was very enjoyable throughout the entire journey. We started with a glacier visit, progressed to the black sand beach (amazing), drove through the small nearby town for some great photos and then stopped at two waterfalls on the return trip. We did a quick stop for lunch because we had a time deadline, but the entire experience was very enjoyable and we liked the one-on-one information Martin provided us about Iceland and each specific place we were going to see. His knowledge of the history and other relevant facts was amazing. While the price of a private tour was little high, it was well worth the experience and the fact that we could tailor the timing to spend more or less time at a specific location. Martin was very conscious of our return timing and would update us regularly that we were within the timeline to see all the great things the South Coast has to offer and still back to Reykjavik in time.

We did a private tour of the Southcoast with Einar and had a fantastic day! Einar was so friendly and full of information! He was very flexible and was able to customize our tour based on the weather (it was pouring when we arrived at the Glacier) and our wishes. Our kids have fallen in love with Iceland’s bounce pillows (playground equipment) and Einar carved out some time for my kids to visit one along the way. Einar also took lots of great pictures of our family, something I find very valuable for a guide. We would highly recommend a tour with Einar and Eastwest!
