The staff were helpful & the trip itself was wonderful. The Captain relayed historical information about the rangatira & tangata of the place. The cost was suitable for the 1-hour voyage. The health & safety was satisfactory. My only gripe was the lack of signs to clearly indicate where the jetty is located. As we came from out of town, it was hard to find the jetty itself.

Its quite an informative tour, more of enjoying the air with my little girl. I should have done this activity with mount hiking and hot pool together coz they located at the same spot. Public bus available perfectly.

So easy to book. Quaint old boat and lots of history info given the whole trip round. Nice to have snacks and drinks and a perfect length trip really. Highly recommend.

The cruise was great, as were the staff. There is an issue however with Trip Advisor, I booked on line and got tickets for two for a cost of $46 (which appeared to be NZ dollars But NO - turns out I was charged $80 as the price is in pounds sterling) Just beware and check how much you are actually paying and in what currency.

One of the 3 young nephews is nervous on boats, and this was the smallest one he has been on so far. The female skipper and crew member were both great, so welcoming, informative on the commentary, and good at politely explaining the safety rules to the boys who were very keen to poke their heads past the safety ropes! The tide was a bit low when we loaded and they helped everyone onboard individually, this included 2 ladies in wheelchairs celebrating 80 year plus birthdays. The tide was much lower when we arrived back at the historical wharf and the service to get everyone off was impressive. We were allowed to walk through the bar and tiny wheelhouse to access the small bow area for an even more up-close look at the visiting cruise ship. Overall it was a very relaxing 1 hour cruise that we all enjoyed. It was good value for me as 1 child travels for free with each paying adult, and additional under 12 children are just $5 each.

An enjoyable little cruise with very friendly crew. It didn't travel as far around the harbour as we'd hoped,
