  I used TripAdvisor-Viator to book Mauritius Taxi, so not sure whose web form I was completing for flight, pickup/ drop off location information. There was no review page to clearly confirm my information was correctly entered. I received email notices they needed my information again, so re-entered it three times. I also sent an email to Viator and they contacted the taxi service. I was able to print the confirmation bar code page before travel. When we arrived at the airport, nobody was there. We called the taxi company, they had our reference number, but claimed they still did not have my information, even after multiple entries on the web form. They said it was too late for them to send another driver, so they would cancel my reservation and submit a refund to Viator; not helpful when you're standing at the airport late at night. We found another taxi that required cash, not as secure or comfortable without pre-screening and booking. So the process worked only partially. I recommend getting clear confirmation before you travel, if you can figure out how. I made the bad assumption that printing the confirmation barcode page meant everything was finally good. Live and learn . . .

  Our prepaid taxi left with another fare before we arrived. We wasted 2 hrs calling/ looking for him at the airport before learning that he was not there. We had to hire another taxi which cost more. I'm very disappointed.

  I pre booked and paid for this transfer and nobody came to collect us. A friendly local within the airport kindly contacted the company to ask where they were and to send someone. After waiting over half an hour a gentleman arrived and advised they have the wrong day and take it up with his boss!! Terrible first impression of the country. After travelling for over 15 hours this is not the service you need. Abandoned on arrival! I hope this does not happen on our return to the airport or I will demand a refund.

  Things went well on the way there. But the transfer to the airport that we had ordered at 4:00 a.m. was cancelled because the taxi didn't show up. No one answered two contact numbers. The hotel arranged a taxi and we left about an hour late.

  Taxi didn't show up and i waited more than an hour i called viator they told me they will contact them then they told me the driver is on his way i kept waiting and i called the number viator provided they didn't answer

  During our stay in Mauritius we drove 4 times with Vishal taxis. 2 times for a day trip, 1 time the transfer from the west coast to the east coast and once from Bella Mare to the airfield. They were always clean cars, nice drivers and you were always on time. The prices are also attractive, e.g. 80 € for an 8 hour day trip. Highly recommended from our point of view.
