5.00Thank you Raquel for an unforgettable experience. What an incredible gift to understand and participate in another family’s traditions and culture. Raquel was helpful by giving translations and instructions and explaining her process as she steamed herbs and set up the sauna. This experience is most valuable if you can communicate in Spanish (I could not)

5.00We were warmly welcomed in the family home. The hostess was also very flexible. We were able to start the activity earlier so that we could still come back to "our" village by public boats. The sauna experience itself was very nice. We were told - despite language barrier (thanks to Google) - a lot about life at the lake. The food we had on the terrace. From there you have a wonderful view of the lake.
This experience will make you feel warm and cozy inside and out!!

5.00Raquel was an incredible host to my sister and me. I felt so cared for and warm by the end!! Such a relaxing, domestic experience. You learn all about the history of Temazcal and then get to experience the sauna in her home. When we got hot and needed to step out for a bit, she had lemonade ready for us. Then went back in a couple of times. So relaxing and healing. The dinner afterwards was lovely, and we seriously felt so warm and cozy inside 😍 Thank you Raquel!

5.00I absolutely loved the Temazcal. Raquel, is such a sweet woman and her and her whole family made this an unforgetable experience. After the Temazcal you get an authentic Guatemalan dinner which was super delicious. Can absolutely recommend to anyone who wants to support local families and get to know their culture.
