I was a bit skeptical about a bus tour, but it was fantastic! A very comfortable ride, great tour guide with so much useful information, and lots of time to walk around by ourselves. The site is fascinating and shockingly huge! I am so so glad we went!

When booking, the selling points of the tour included learning about the incredible site of Teotihuacan at sunrise, and afterwards be treated to a traditional Mexican meal. However, none of these things turned out to be exactly true. We arrived at the site as early as possible, which is 8am (over an hour after sunrise). While there were very few people there, the tour guide was equally light on information, explaining none of the site's fascinating history. Rather than explain anything about the original inhabitants of Teotihuacan, our guide waxed poetic about the power of semi-precious stones and easily-disproven tourist tales (i.e. describing the gimmick of worms in Mezcal, invented in the 1940s for marketing, as "traditional" and that consuming the worm would give "7 years of very good luck). When it came time to eat the included meal, I was informed only after partaking in the buffet that I was already given my lunch, a box of cold food which I could not eat as it disregarded the dietary restrictions I explained multiple times to the guide and preparers of the food in Spanish. The tour finishes with the guide taking you to "artisans", who place a sticker on you so they can give commission to the guide for the overpriced tchotchkes they sell (silver and semi-precious jewelry of far higher quality can be found in CDMX for less than half of the price). I would highly recommend avoiding this tour company, even if you speak no Spanish as the site is very accommodating to people who only speak English, and instead finding a friend with whom you can drive out to the site yourself. You will save a ton of time (the tour takes a whopping 8 hours when all activities including the drive can easily be done in 5 hours), a ton of money (you will know exactly what you are paying for), and a ton of frustration.

Alan, Gonzalo, and Gerson were in charge of our tour; it was a very varied tour with international people, and they were very well prepared in both English and Spanish so that everyone could understand. The experience was very beautiful and a lot of fun; I highly recommend it.

I was one hour late when I left. There was no prior explanation that the bag could not be brought to the tour. They needed to be ready to put water, batteries, valuables, etc. in small bags.

I am surprised by how much Alex knows; we went for 3 hours, but I would have stayed for 5. A pleasure

The tour was very good, just like Alex and Alicia! Alex conveyed his passion and knowledge in every part of the tour. The only thing to keep in mind is that we stop for approximately 45 minutes at a souvenir shop.

Very organized. Very punctual. Everything was professional. If I return to Mexico with someone who has not visited the pyramids, I would repeat with you.

Our Tour Guide Sal and the driver were both courteous and timely. Sal’s explanations in English were very clear and understandable. He has 30 yrs experience, was knowledgeable, humorous, and made the tour very interesting and enjoyable. The early access was definitely worth it for less people and morning temperatures. It is a good amount of walking but for those who didn’t want to, there were options. Our only complaint was not knowing clearly the lunch options (you can order à la carte off menu.) We thought the buffet lunch was the only choice 450 Mex pesos and regretted it. That was discounted fr 500 pesos (US$32) on the spot price, which didn’t include drinks or tip. The food was local Mexican that was just ok taste-wise but not worth that price. They had bbq meats (very tough) and salad, veggies, fruit, desserts.

Alfonso made the tour very enjoyable, he is a very nice person and made us all feel part of the group. In my group my family only speaks English and they loved the explanation of what Alfonso gave as well as his warmth.
