Watarrka National Park
Your guide will escort you on the rocky climb to the rim of Kings Canyon. The views of Watarrka National Park from the top of the canyon are magnificent as are the views down into the canyon itself. Follow the rim of the canyon stopping to view the canyon gorge at look-out points. Time permitting, you may choose to descend to the green oasis of the 'Garden of Eden'. The walk may take up to 3 hours and is rocky and steep places. It is for those with a good level of fitness. Alternatively, you may wish to take an easier, shorter walk to explore the boulder strewn canyon floor with our Driver/Guide. Return to Kings Canyon Resort.

This is a scam. Do not book this tour as the tour company never arrives and you cannot contact them. We were able to get a refund, however very disappointing when we waiting for the tour and the day and it did not eventuate.

Beautiful walk. There is a long, steep stretch at the start 120 meter going up). Once you are on top the rest gets easier. You need good shoes, both with grip and support, since the terrain is oneven everywhere. We were there with quite a bit of wind and 22 degrees which is good but it can get very warm and then you need to bring enough water (recommended: 1,5 liter). We are 60 but fit so we walked in in under 3 hours. Very worthwhile.

We took the green walk up to the top, as it didn’t have that extreme steep climb. So many beautiful places to stop and rest in the shade, take in the views. The walk was great as far as stairs, flat, stairs, flat, so you had time to catch your breath if needed. So many different views, unexpected plants and amazing g flat areas.
