  So disappointed in the organisers of this trip! Had booked this one night boat trip for me, my partner and our *4 year old* child quite some time back. We were informed the very last night before the trip (like 8pm - pick up the next morning was going to be around 7.30am - so very little notice) that something was wrong with the booking (no details of what) and that they would “upgrade” us to a premium boat. We said ok, but found that there was really nothing upgraded about it compared to what we had already booked, and the photos of the new boat online looked nothing like it - very misleading (only accurate photo was the outside of the boat). But the WORST bit was this - After nearly three hours travelling on the coach and soon arriving at the boat, I get a text from the organisers saying I have to pay more money because they have seen my child’s passport and somehow concluded that she is 5. (The booking said children up to 5 go free, that was one of the reasons I booked it!) my daughter is NOT 5 years old, which I showed them on the passport. But they proceeded to argue again and again that she was 5 (and we kept repeating that she has recently turned 4). They started almost harassing us as we got on the boat, ringing, texting, calling us via a colleague and the argument about her age continued (had to have this call right in front of all the other passengers as well which made it worse) they gave me three different prices for what I should pay too. First it was 1100 vnd, then $75, then $50. I felt like I was being scammed! Eventually after lots of hounding and arguing I was so fed up with the situation and the boat had already started sailing so I just ended up reluctantly agreeing to pay. It ruined the start of the experience and I can only express how disappointing it all ended up! The crew on the boat were lovely, I will say that, but the organisers I’d give a “minus 5” if I could!

  Our Tour manager Trevor was great. Food and all hotels very good. But called All inclusive but only in one hotel as one in Strasbourgh and Basel only one small wine included. But too many trains in 7 days.And an incline walk to the station 5 days had to use my inhaler. Need to be very active. Hotel we stayed in Switzerland was lovely but nothing in the village. Also no bar to sit in after evening meal so bedtime before 9 pm. Not ideal for adults. The scenery on Glacier Express and Bernina was fantastic. But we did Bernina twice in one day. Once on regular train then back on Bernina train. We were a party of 4 and met some lovely people. But 2 of party will not do another train holiday. JB

  amazing tour! they will really take care of your from beggining to end of the tour. we have been picked up and drop off to our hotel. comfortable and luxury shuttle. the food in the cruise is delicious. also we got the best tour guide Mr Trung. very informative and will really take care of you throughout the trip. highly recommended.

  We were really looking forward to this trip, it was also ok when we saw the boat this one has already gotten a bit old and doesn't quite look like the pictures anymore. The Pearl Farm can actually save itself and also the museum. Really disappointed or disgusted we were from our room, we all had small to medium sized cockroaches in the room. Like we didn't even dare to sleep. We hung all the things up on the fan. We didn't want to shower at all. A highlight was the night squid fishing. Otherwise it was a pure mass tourism trip

  Amazing Experience!! Our guide Trung was extremely prepared, super fun. He looked after us since he came to pick us up at the hotel, till the very end! Awesome experience. One of the best excursions ever. Plus the place! Stunning !! I strongly recommend them!!

  The views, nice food, the caves were amazing too. Drinks are expensive on the boats - maybe stock up with your own. We did not like the wine, either the red or the white. Lots of good food though. Cookery class was spring roll making. We went for a smaller sized boat and therefore group (18) which I guess could also enhance the experience.   Great experience, professional organisation of the whole trip, a lot of interesting activities, friendly guide and the boat crew. Mr Bang made the trip unforgatable, very kind and friendly tour guide.

• The Perfect Intimate Experience of Halong Bay

  My mom and I had such an amazing time on this excursion! Our tour guide, Tuan, was very knowledgeable and a great story-teller. We were especially impressed with the boat crew who performed their tasks seamlessly that we didn’t even realize there were seven members until the end! They were also so accommodating of my mom’s dietary restrictions. All the food was prepared fresh, extremely delicious and served family style. We did so much in 2 days including visiting Sut Sot Cave, Ti Top Island and a Pearl Farm where we got to kayak. Last but not least, the VIEWS were breathtaking. Halong Bay is a must when visiting Vietnam and you really need to stay overnight to get the full experience.   Good organised trip. A bit dated ship/rooms. A lot of different sorts of food, but not that deliciously prepared. We expected more from the cooking class of making spring rolls, which was just talking about how to roll the ingredients. The same remark for the fishing. But the natural beauties of Halong Bay are gorgeous, worth seeing in 2 days like this trip offers.
