Enjoy a small-group tour to visit the most iconics landmarks in Rio de Janeiro. First visit the Christ the Redeemer statue and then ride the cable car up to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain to enjoy breathtaking views. Your tour includes transport, a professional guide and all entrance fees.
We also have the option to take this guided tour without the inclusion of the tickets. They can be bought directly at the venue.
If you prefer to enjoy your morning relaxing in the Hotel, or at the beach, check our option for the afternoon tour.

Importante note: during the months of December through March, considered the high season, please allow more time for a complete tour. Even doing our best to avoid lines sometimes the tour get extended and can take more than 8 hours to finish. Please, plan ahead for any possible delays.
The 9:00am tour needs a minimum amount of people to operate. Our regular hours (7:30am or 1:30pm) operate regularly
During the Carnival period, because of the crowd, all tickets need to be paid in advance to the venues. So Any date change for the tour with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a charge of USD 40.00 per person.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
What To Expect
Copacabana Beach
After the pick-up we will start the tour from Copacabana Beach, one of the most famous beach in the world.
Botafogo Beach
Botafogo is a beachfront neighbourhood in Rio de Janeiro. It is a mostly upper middle class and small commerce community, and is located between the hills of Mundo Novo, Dona Marta (which separates it from Laranjeiras) and São João (which separates it from Copacabana).

5.00Two must see places when visiting Rio. If during Carnival it is an 8 hour tour due to high traffic and blocks (street parties) so being plenty of water (though quite cheap to buy at many places. Our driver Luis provided a very comfortable and safe ride. Peter our guide was worth the price of admission. Always upbeat, very knowledgeable and d made a very long day fun. Highly recommend him as your guide and will look for him for future ventures

5.00Visiting Rio de Janeiro? Book “The Best Half Day in Rio with Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Hill” with Carioca Tropical Tour. Make sure your package includes both Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain. No long lines, plenty of time at each site, and everything ran on schedule. Karla was an outstanding guide, and Bruno’s driving saved us from major traffic. Professional, smooth, and worth every dollar. Highly recommend.

5.00First the good...our guide, Lucy, was the best. She was knowledgeable, engaging, and most importantly, she was a stern taskmaster. She made sure that the 19 of us stayed together and that we were where we needed to be when we needed to be Now the not so good and this is no reflection on the tour company...we came to Rio for Carnaval, so Rio was very crowded. On top of that, there were three cruise ships in port adding to the number of people in town. Traffic was heavy everywhere and when you got to Sugar Loaf and Christ the Redeemer, there was wall-to-wall people. To make matters even more uncomfortable, it was hot and humid which made standing in long lines no fun My recommendation is to not do this tour in February. Also, if I had to do it over again, I'd skip Sugar Loaf. While the views were spectacular, for me, it wasn't worth the wait in line and the crowds

5.00I highly recommend this tour. Our guide was Monica, and she did a wonderful job ensuring we made it to Sugarloaf mountain and Christ the Redeemer with plenty of time to enjoy each experience. She was so informative and passionate about this wonderful city and what it has to offer, and yet being candid when explaining much of the history about it’s beginnings and the challenges they have today. I have been to many cities in the world, but the scenery and breathtaking views we saw today were the best so far. Thanks Monica, you were so thoughtful, kind and full of passion for what you do, and it shows, and made our day extraordinary. If you are in Rio, this is a must do tour!
