  • History of Cardiff Walking Tour

Gareth was an amazing wealth of knowledge about Cardiff. Cardiff is a very walkable city with a history back to Roman Times. We even saw the ruins of the first century Roman walls. His knowledge of UK/ Welsh history was fatally fascinating.

It was not an interesting tour. We got some facts about the castle, the gardens and some places in the city center. Not recommended.

Highly informative friendly guide-if only we could remember it all! Started and finished on time and worthwhile. We were the only 2 on the tour and therefore received very personal attention

Absolutely wonderful learning experience! Gareth's knowledge of Cardiff is impressive, and his passion for history is infectious. From the moment he begins the tour, you're transported back in time. The stories are captivating, especially the one about the non-submissive wives wow, it's a real showstopper! Trust me, this walking tour won't disappoint. It's a must-do for anyone visiting Cardiff!

  • Great tour

We had a 2 hour private tour of Cardiff city centre with Gareth. He is really amiable and engaging; He took us into the free part of the castle, into the garden behind it, into the civic area and into some of the main streets. He’s certainly got an interest in history and managed to impart so much information in a way we all found interesting. I and my two daughters (aged 17 and 14) all really enjoyed it and would happily recommend it to others.

The two-hour tour with Dave in Cardiff exceeded our expectations. Dave was an excellent guide—knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the city’s history and culture. He managed to cover all the key highlights within the time we had, providing fascinating insights and making the experience thoroughly enjoyable. We appreciated how well-paced and well-organized the tour was. It was the perfect way to explore Cardiff (even under the rain) in just two hours. Highly recommended!
