Experience Gothenburg from the water on the classic Paddan boat tour, one of the city’s most iconic sightseeing experiences. Departing from Kungsportsplatsen, the tour takes you through Gothenburg’s historic moat and 17th‑century canals, highlighting the city’s construction, defence and maritime heritage. With live guiding in Swedish and English, you’ll glide under 20+ low bridges and out toward the lively harbour.
See traditional shipyards, the fishing harbour, and both modern and historic neighbourhoods. The open‑top boats offer panoramic views—so dress for the weather. This classic tour is ideal for exploring Gothenburg’s waterways and coastal character.
Departures every 30–60 minutes from about 11:00–17:00.

Passengers must descend a staircase (12 steps) and then a few additional steps to board the Paddan boat.

5.00Yesterday we went with Toad. Elin had our guided tour. A fantastic guide. Incredibly good to tell during the tour and fun. We were early for the tour at 12:00 but we got a fantastic reception from Elin i who sat in the box office. Me and my friends stated that it was the best guide we heard. Great with guidance with microphone and not headphones that hassle to connect to that particular guidance. Thank you Elin for a great job. The right person in the right place. 😃

5.00We booked this tour for our family (2 adults, 3 teens) last minute. It was well worth it. We saw Gõteburg in a very different way. The tour guide was very engaging and had a phenomenally dry sense of humor that made the tour informative and highly entertaining. Some of the bridges are very low, which added to the overall experience.

5.00This was a great short 50 minute tour of Goteborg, on the water. We only had a short time and decided we wanted to do a tour if we could and this exceeded any of our expectations. Our tour guide was great, and we got a wonderful feel for the city and the history in a short time. Highly recommend this trip for a quick historical tour around the city.
