Opened on the 6th of September 2021, Odysseo is the first oceanarium in Mauritius. Spanning over 5,500 m2, our aquarium contains 45 tanks that hold a total of 2 million liters of water, and are home to 3,500 aquatic animals.
Odysseo Mauritius is a place of discovery, education, and awareness.
Our purpose is not only to amaze our visitors but also to awaken their curiosity and their desire to learn more. We are all citizens of the ocean and it becomes essential to explain that the ocean has a major role in the great equilibrium of our planet and a huge potential, which is important in our daily life if we know how to protect it.

What To Expect
Odysseo Oceanarium Mauritius
The Oceanarium showcases 45 habitats of different sizes and shapes, with a total capacity of 2,000 m3 of water (1,500 m3 being in the main aquarium). Visitors will encounter with some 200 species (3,500 specimens at the openings) of the Indian Ocean.

5.00Was a very nice tour. We really loved the different tanks and fish. Could propose a visit by night with UV lights. The mermaid show was also very nice. The personels were very proactive and helpful.

5.00We had a very pleasant time with family. Children 3 and 8 years old were amazed by all these animals and especially by sharks ... The whole family enjoyed the mermaid ballet and by staying after the show we were able to watch the feeding of the animals. We highly recommend! Only downside, we were disappointed by the catering service which did not seem to us up to the place.

5.00Always as much pleasure to visit this beautiful aquarium, very well maintained. I suggest they make a DVD containing the film of the construction, a film of guided tour and a film of the aquatic flora and fauna of Mascarene to be sold at the shop of the aquarium.

2.00I have been to many aquariums across the globe and this one was very small compared to others. The price is just not justified given the size of the aquarium. On the good side, they've got variety of species inside the aquarium. My son and I were at the exit in 30 mins flat. We were expecting some activities to be done however didn't see any happening. Not a great experience
