Omar and the driver were amazing! They were so friendly and helpful throughout, even with customs! Tikal is great and they were very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife! Highly recommend using this company for any tours you may be interested in! Tikal was AMAZING!

We took 3 tours through Tikal Go, all ftom Flores: Topoxte & Yaxha Sunset Tour (Sorry, I don’t recall his name) Peten Itza Boat Tour (Tour guide: Billy) Tikal Exclusive from Flores (Tour guide: Omar) We were really happy and impressed with the services provided, we got a lot of information on each of the tours and we feel like we have a better understanding of the mayan culture. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable about Mayan history and current-day communities. The drivers and boat captain were very cautious and safe. The meals included with the tours were great, with a good meat selection, many vegetables and a small amount of rice. (Other food options were available, we chose meat.) All the staff members were very nice and professional. We took private tours, which we really enjoyed because we could visit the ruins at our own pace. We would definitely use this tour company again. A couple of thoughts for people to know: The ruins have lots of steps - be prepared. Many people were taking breaks between the sets of stairs, so don’t feel like you might be the only one breathing hard after climbing a set. The road to Yaxha is really tough with unpaved surface and many ruts, so anti-nausea medications might be useful on that trip.

We can't recommend this tour enough! Not only did we learn so much about Tikal and Mayan culture, but also about modern Guatemalan life. We needed help getting from San Ignacio, Belize to Flores, Guatemala, and the incredibel TikalGO crew helped us navigate this in the most efficient way - with lunch and Tikal as a pitt stop between San Ignacio and Flores. Can't recommend enough!

I booked a tour that would take me from my hotel in San Ignacio, Belize to Tikal National Park in Guatemala, where I'd stay overnight at the Jungle Lodge inside the park, then hike at 4:00am to Temple IV to experience the sunrise over Tikal then be returned to my hotel back in Belize. This is a tour with a 2-person minimum (I paid the 2-person rate though I did it solo) and it was absolutely incredible - it's perfect for a couple, or a family and, of course, if you want to spoil yourself while travelling solo like I did). You have vehicles and a guide all to yourself, which is it's own kind of bliss. That said, the drivers and the vehicles were great - they need to be; the road from the Belize border to the turn-off towards Tikal is in a very poor state of repair. On the way, I asked my driver if we could stop for food and for his recommendation, and he suggested a little roadside kitchen (which was so good!) and that's also a benefit of doing a private trip - you can stop when / where you want along the way. Then, at Tikal, my particular guide (Omar) was excellent - friendly and knowledge and unhurried (another benefit of it being a private tour). The Jungle Lodge where you stay overnight is also a very cool spot, since it's right inside the park (so get ready for the natural early morning Howler Monkeys wake-up call and all the nighttime sounds of the jungle). The handover at the border each way could be improved (since the driver that takes you to the border has to hand you off to a different driver on the other side) with clear signage but it's not a big issue. As I mentioned, all of the drivers were great. But overall, this blows a day-trip to Tikal right out of the water. With this 2-day trip, you get to see all the ruins on Day 1, then you get the dead-of-night experience of walking through the jungle with your guide + the awe-inspireing spectacle of the night sky and starfield (fingers crossed it's a clear sky like I had) + the mind-blowing sunrise-over-the-temples experience on Day 2. I would highly recommend Tikal Go as your tour operator.

My sister and I had an incredible experience with Tikal Go on 10/9/25 . Our driver was friendly and arrived early, which we really appreciated. Our guide, Omar, was fantastic—knowledgeable, passionate, and proud of his Mayan heritage. The tour was hot but so informative and memorable. We loved the stop for souvenirs and the unique experience of walking across the border. Overall, an unforgettable day and we highly recommend this tour!

We had an excellent experience on this tour. The driver was very nice and pointed out interesting things along the way to Tikal. The guide was very knowledgeable about Tikal and the wildlife in the reserve. The pace he set for us was good, we kept moving to see everything but also had plenty of time to explore areas on our own. He pointed out different types of monkeys and birds along the way.

We did the Tikal tour and an added zipline tour. From the beginning, the company was very helpful and responsive. Our guide, Omar, and driver Abner, were awesome. They assisted us with the border process since we had no clue what to do. Omar was waiting for us and was able to communicate with us very well. We stopped at a little shop on the way to learn about the park and what all was going to happen. I tried some spiced tea there and it was very good. Omar was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions and made us feel safe. Overall we had a great time.

Our day in Tikal with Omar and Abner was truly magical and a "bucket list" experience in every way. Abner picked us up from our hotel in San Ignacio Belize, drove us to the Guatemala border, and waited for us while we crossed from Belize to Guatemala. On the Guatemalan side of the border, our guide Omar joined us and we began the drive to Tikal park. On the way, Omar told us of the rich Mayan history and described what we'd see that day. As we got to know each other, we shared how much we loved nature and the beauty of the jungle. Omar began to add details about the flora and fauna we'd find in Tikal, in addition to the history of the Mayan people, and the great historic city itself. He told us about the history of archeology in the park, and shared photos he'd taken over the years of birds, the stars, and other natural phenomena. As we hiked through the park, Omar stopped to show us many of the species of birds found in the park, along with army ants, bullet ants, leafcutter ants, and more! We saw foxes, monkeys, agouti and coati. The ruins themselves are far more stunning than any photographs can do justice; we learned so much from Omar as we hiked from temple to temple, plaza to plaza. After a full day of exploration and a wonderful lunch in an open-air restaurant inside the park, we began the drive back to Belize. During the drive back, as we passed wetlands and jungle forests, Abner and Omar pointed out many species of birds for us, and enabled us to stop and spot them through our binoculars. They taught us about these birds and where and how they live, and gave us such a rich sense of the beauty of Central America. They both went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed every aspect of our trip to Tikal. Their pride in their country and heritage is palpable, and their knowledge of the land and its history brought the Mayans to life for us. We had an absolutely wonderful day.

I reached out to Tikal Go directly since we wanted a private custom tour for 4 people and to add in Flores. Our driver (think it was Abel) picked us up from our hotel at 7:00 and drove us to the border where we went through immigration and customs. There we met our guide, Omar to make the journey to Tikal. All I can say is this trip is amazing. Omar told us about the Mayan history and moved us along unlike other tour guides where you stay in one place for 15+ minutes. Once we are at the center of the ruins, Omar gave us our free time to explore the area and didn't rush us at all. To highlight the trip, there was a healing ritual that was performed and we got to witness that. Throughout the entire trip, we did things at our own pace and we would let him know the time to meet us. At the end of the Tikal tour we had a wonderful lunch provided in the park's restaurant. The food was delicious. Then onto Flores. Omar gave us a little history of the town and we got to explore the town, again at our own pace. Omar was awesome and very knowledgeable. Definitely book with Tikal Go!

I did the Tikal tour from San Ignacio, Belize. Everything was great. Pick up at my hotel in San Ignacio was right on time. The guide in Guatemala was excellent, really knowledgeable about Mayan history and culture and also plants and animals. Never felt rushed, we had a full day. Lunch was also good. Would definitely recommend Tikal Go tours.
