Step into Asakusa for a lively, hands-on sushi experience blending culture, skill, and celebration — perfect for families, couples, and friends of all ages.

Start with Kagami-biraki: chant "Yoisho!", open a sake barrel, and toast to new beginnings (non-alcohol option available).

Then learn nigiri essentials — shape rice, handle toppings, and place fish like a pro. No experience needed — kids love it, and first-timers always feel right at home.

Create 6–10 pieces, finish with a matcha ceremony, and leave with skills and photos the whole family will treasure.

Have a food allergy or prefer no raw fish? Just let us know in advance — we'll do our best to accommodate every guest so everyone can enjoy the full experience together.

Steps from Asakusa Station — Senso-ji, Kaminarimon, Tokyo Skytree, and Ryogoku Sumo Hall all nearby.

What To Expect

Dive into authentic Japanese culture in Asakusa with an interactive workshop—sushi, sake, and matcha in one unforgettable experience. • Kagami-biraki: Sake Barrel Opening & Cheers Start with a beloved Japanese tradition that celebrates new beginnings. Join the group to open a sake barrel (kagami-biraki) and raise a cheerful toast together—complete with the spirited chant: “Yoisho, yoisho, yoisho!” • Learn to Make Sushi Like a Sushi Master With friendly, step-by-step guidance, you’ll learn the essentials of nigiri sushi: how to shape rice properly, handle toppings, and assemble each piece with confidence. By the end, you’ll be making sushi you’ll be proud to show off back home. • Make Matcha: Whisk Your Own Bowl Finish on a calm, satisfying note by making matcha yourself. Learn how to whisk it properly for a smooth, foamy bowl—then enjoy your fresh matcha as the perfect finale to your sushi experience. Conveniently located within walking distance of Sumida Park and the Sumida River, one of Tokyo's most iconic hanami destinations. Experience cherry blossom season like a local!

I took my parents with me, and they both talked endlessly about this shop. Overall it was very well planned and the staff were very kind. My father, who had a lot of likes and dislikes, also really enjoyed it.
