Toyosu Market
※closed on Wednesdays, Sundays, and occasionally on other irregular days. Many shops in Tsukiji are also closed due to the closure of Toyosu. Toyosu Market (豊洲市場, Toyosu Shijō) opened on October 11, 2018 on the man-made island of Toyosu in the Bay of Tokyo. It took over the wholesale business from the aging Tsukiji Market and provides tourists with an opportunity to observe the market action and to dine at restaurants across its large, modern premises. The huge wholesale market consists of three main buildings: two buildings for seafood and one for fruits and vegetables. All buildings are connected with each other and Shijo-mae Station via walkways. This tour is available at 8AM onwards. If you are interested to see the Tuna auction, please book Toyosu Market Morning Tuna Auction and Tsukiji Food Tour which can be booked at 5AM.
Tsukiji Fish Market
※Many shops in Tsukiji are closed due to the closure of Toyosu(Wednesdays, Sundays, and occasionally on other irregular days). Meet up with your guide at Tsukiji Honganji Temple, just outside the market’s main gate, in the morning. As you navigate your way through this labyrinth of all things seafood, learn from your guide about the market’s history and why many Japan’s top chefs visit here daily to pick up the freshest-quality ingredients. You never know what you might find as you stroll past the stalls of this amazing food center. You might see piles of sea urchin (uni) stacked neatly in boxes, watch as vendors carve massive Bluefin tuna or spot puffer fish floating in tanks.

We had a great time with Katsu Hayama. It was a very valuable experience and I highly recommend it. It was the perfect way to explore the market.

You have the opportunity to customize your schedule with your guide. Taking recommendations off guide but then only accomplished visiting two places before time was up. Way too much time using trains getting from place to place.

Our guide Katsu (goreilo) is very experienced and knowledgeable. We are very thankful to him since it was the second day in Tokyo. Very interesting tour with a lot of information and sites visiting. Including tasting some samples of Japanese food and got knowledge about cuisine. Visit Kappabashi street with everything you can imagine for kitchen. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend a private tour guide. Hiromi was kind, patient and lead us to several spots in Tokyo, teaching us how to navigate the metro. She made sampling treats and sushi so fun at Tsujiki. We also visited a beautiful, serene garden, Hamarikyu, and ate lunch at the best tonkatsu restaurant ever!!!

Our tour guide Mr. Toru Higaki is a good guide taking us to some key spots at Tsukiji fish market. We tired 13 stalls recommended by Mr. Higaki such as sushi, sea urchins, wagyu bee, beef bowl rice, egg roll, snow and king crab, fresh oyster, scallop, mochi with strawberry, grill chicken, fried corn with fish meat, grill baby octo[us, grill octopus , grill urnagi, grill tuna and fresh tuna - 4 part of tuna. Toru explain how the food is prepared and served. Highly recommend him if you wish to visit Tsukiji fish market

I had a tour with Nori and she was exceptional. The Tsujiki Market is amazing and a maze! Nori knew all the best places to take me and to try all my favorite sushi. We then visited two shrine/temples, a Kibuki Theatre and she showed me around a luxury department store. She told me all about the shrine -- one even with a place to pray for good eggs! At the end of the tour I realized I left my cell phone somewhere and she simply said, "I will help you." She did not leave until we tracked it down at the temple and she talked to the guards to find out where it was turned in. What a kind and lovely person, in addition to being an expert guide. Thank you, Nori!!

Great tour with Takako, she took us to some amazing spots. We had the best sushi at her secret sushi restaurant and incredibly well priced. We extended our tour and saw some additional sites, well worth the time and money.

I signed up for a tour for the first half of our first day. Fumiko was our guide and she contacted me before we left for Japan and came up with an itinerary for us and even met us at our hotel (which we didn’t realize at the time of booking that it was not real close to the city center). She helped us get the cards we needed for public transport and gave us a great overview of a few different parts of the city and made a reservation for us at a restaurant for lunch. Fumiko helped us use the trains to go to Tsukiji market area, Ueno Park area, the Restaurant supply district, and left us at the Asakusa area so we could look around there at our own pace. She also shared with us some history of Japan that was meaningful and wrote detailed instructions on how to take the public transit back to our hotel. Fumiko was very kind and enjoyable to spend time with. Although we often wished we could spend more time at each place, we really appreciated being able to follow a knowledgeable guide when we were jet-lagged and totally out of our element 😄🥸 Plus, this intro gave us more confidence in getting around by ourselves and going back to the areas that we really wanted to check out again (Ueno Park! Tsukiji market!) Thank you, Fumiko!

Show, our guide, was simply amazing. We got so many information from him and learned a lot on the food, the culture and the history of Japan. 4 hours visiting and we did not see the time passing. A big thank you!
