My husband and I were a little underwhelmed. Waco is a very depressed area which we didn’t expect. There are a few nice areas but lots of fixer uppers. The homes we saw that Chip and Joannna rehabbed were ok but time has taken its toll on some of them. Thought we’d see more of a chronological timeline of their work. We got to go inside one of the homes (the three little pigs house) which was cool. The tour guide, Sue, was very sweet. It’s an OK thing to do on a really hot day when you didn’t feel like walking around.

Great combination of history, show information. A little secret insider information. A couple of stops along the way. All made this a great tour.

The tour driver was very nice and knowledgeable about Waco. However, we were very disappointed that the neighborhoods were not kept. The grass needed to be cut, shrubs trimmed and many houses were in desperate need of repairs. Chip & Joanna have put this town on the map and it just seems that the infrastructure would be much more curb appealing. This has been marked off of our bucket list. The Magnolia Market was nice (not included in the tour).

The guide was very informative and friendly. We got to tour one of the houses from the Fixer Upper show and drive by many others. We also stopped at Jimmy Don's storefront and he was there to talk with us and take pictures. It was a fabulous time for us Fixer Upper fans. I would do the tour again.
