Dr Pepper Museum
This historic building once housed Waco’s first Dr Pepper bottling plant, but not all spirits here are carbonated. A deadly explosion in 1913 left several workers trapped beneath rubble, and some believe their restless souls still linger. Visitors have reported eerie footsteps echoing through empty halls and soda bottles moving on their own, as if unseen hands are still hard at work.
Justice may never rest here, as shadowy figures have been spotted lurking in the courtrooms long after cases have closed. Some say the anguished spirits of those sentenced to death still haunt the halls, their whispers floating in the air like an unresolved verdict. Guards and staff have reported sudden cold spots and doors slamming shut with no one around to move them.

I signed up for a ghost tour, not a random stroll with random facts. The only thing haunting this experience was the feeling that I wasted my money. Our guide talked about architecture… city history… a guy who once owned a bakery… yet not a single spine-tingling story. No chills. No thrills. Unless you count the chilly breeze from standing around listening to facts I could Google in five seconds. If you’re hoping for creepy legends, haunted locations, or literally any mention of a ghost, keep walking. This tour had about as much paranormal activity as a toaster. The scariest part? Realizing I paid for it.

Hope, our guide was very knowledgeable, funny and informative. The pace of the tour was perfect and the walking distance is more than manageable. Would definitely recommend!

It was very disappointing I was expecting a little bit more ghostly experience then just a history experience

Lots of Waco history! We enjoyed hearing about the history behind the hauntings. If you don't do well in the heat, plan a cooler month. There is a lot of standing/walking/standing, so wearing comfortable walking shoes. Our guide was a little quiet. She would have benefited from a speaker/mic.

Our guide was fun, spirited (see what I did there lol), knowledgeable, and answered general questions too. My 2 grandkids and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour. I'm planning on bringing more grands in the future!
