Unlike many of the Game of Thrones themed tours in Dubrovnik that run group departures, OUR TOUR is COMPLETELY PRIVATE.
Therefore you will have a LICENSED PRIVATE tour guide at your disposal to pick his/her brains on the different topics, both GOT and non-GOT related. Therefore, the tour is a PERFECT COMBINATION of facts and fiction that both fans and non-fans will enjoy.
All of our six guides are SKILLED professionals that are licensed by the Croatian Ministry of Tourism and are great fans of the Game of Thrones and the Song of Ice and Fire book series. Few of our guides are FORMER EXTRAS from the Game of Thrones so you'll have a chance to learn how your and our favorite show was filmed from first hand.

Kolorina Bay
The picturesque Kolorina Bay (AKA The Blackwater Bay) is an important part of the tour as it poses as the setting for a dozen iconic scenes from the Game of Thrones. Though often overlooked by standard visitors, this historic suburb of the Old Town of Dubrovnik provides some of the best vistas of the majestic City Walls and the nearby Lovrijenac Fortress. Aside from checking out the GOT sites, you'll also have a chance to learn about the strategic importance of the remarkable Dubrovnik fortification system and hear some intriguing legends about the city and the surrounding area.
Pile Gate
The imposing main entrance to the Old Town of Dubrovnik is brilliantly featured in the several GOT scenes ranging from season 2, 3, 4 and 5. Each of these scenes is shot from a different angle which makes it look as if its always a different place.

What an interesting tour and so many GOT spots to see as we visited Dubrovnik. Tonka was excellent at providing first hand accounts of filming as well as history of the city. She was friendly and interesting and such a great companion for the tour. It was easy to find the meet up point and communication was clear and easy to reach out to them for any questions.

Nice conversational walking tour with many matched views of the city and GOT scenes. Our guide was good about avoiding crowds. Good flexibility when some of my group got distracted. Good mix of local Dubrovnik history and Game of Thrones information. Easy going and friendly experience.

This was a truly incredible tour. His knowledge of both history and Game of Thrones was truly unmatched (coming from a huge fan of both the books and movies). Highly recommend, you won't regret it.

Tom was amazing! The best tour guide I have ever had. He got us in every spot ahead of the crowds and went above and beyond to make our day wonderful. Hands down choose him. Exceptional!

We had a great day with Tomislav on the GOT tour. He was very knowlegable, helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend him for a full or half day private tour. We started on foot and ended with a drive out to other locations.

Tonya her tour guide was phenomenal. She was incredibly well, educated with a degree in archaeology and was able to not only show us the Game of Thrones filming locations, but also history of the city as we toured. She was patient with our photo requests and very personable with excellent English skills. Loved having a private tour as we passed many very large tour groups. Worth the extra money for the private experience. Pro tip: leave as early in the day as you can. We started our tour by 8 AM and by 9 AM it was getting hot and the crowds were starting to get bigger!

If you're considering Tom's Game of Thrones tour of Dubrovnik, do yourself a favor and book the PRIVATE tour. We cannot stress this enough. We watched group tours of 20+ people shuffling through the same locations we were at, straining to hear their guide, waiting in line to get the photo, getting maybe 30 seconds at each spot before being herded to the next one. That is not what we experienced with Tom. With a private tour, the entire day flexed around us. We could linger at the locations that grabbed us, breeze past the ones that didn't, ask any question that came to mind, and get a real conversation back — not a rehearsed script. Tom is an absolute encyclopedia on both the show and Dubrovnik's actual history, and that knowledge only comes out when there's room for a real back-and-forth. In a group, you get the highlight reel. With Tom one-on-one, you get the deep cuts — the scene context, the filming trivia, the local history, the stories about the city he clearly loves. He also tailored the entire route to us. Pacing, stops, photo time, even the order — all adjusted based on what we were enjoying. You simply cannot get that in a group of 20 strangers. And then, after the tour ended, Tom went completely above and beyond. We mentioned we were driving on to Split, and unprompted he sent us a custom Dropbox of GoT location photos and a detailed write-up of every stop along the way — Trsteno Arboretum with a scene-by-scene walking route through the gardens, the Ston walls, Klis Fort where Meereen was filmed, even restaurant picks. We followed his recommendation to Kapetanova Kuca in Mali Ston for lunch and had the best oysters of our lives. None of that was part of what we paid for. He just genuinely wanted us to have the best possible experience in his country. That is the difference. Group tours give you a checklist. Tom gives you Dubrovnik. Book the private tour — it's worth every penny and then some. Valar Morghulis! — Rob & Heather
