Trujillo Full Day
Huaca Arco-Iris or Huaca El Dragon
Temple of the Chimu culture built in 900 AD, contains mud and adobe reliefs with the representation of the rainbow, a sacred symbol of the fertility of the Peruvian natives. In addition to different anthropomorphic and zoomorphic representations that are part of the religion of the Chimu
Chan Chan
We will visit the largest mud city in the world, a sacred and administrative place of the Chimu culture. We will have time to walk in its streets, patios and sacred spaces.
La Huaca del Sol
Finish the afternoon in the best of Trujillo in the huacas sol y luna, we will enter the huaca de la luna for 1 hour of walking inside the pyramid; Enough time to appreciate the polychrome murals and all the over 1,500-year-old colored clay art.
Huanchaco
The native people of fishermen who still preserve their culture and tradition with the use of totora rafts or totora horses.

5.00While Norte Expedition is not cheap, we did not regret hiring Dilser to help us discover Huaca de la Luna, Chan Chan, Huanchaco, El Brujo (which we highly recommend), the Lambayake/Sican sites of Batan Grande and Tucume (which unfortunately are not yet very much open to tourists, the sites are huge but only a small part is visible to tourists) and the Huaca Rajada Archaeological Complex where the treasures of the Lord of Sipan where found. Dilser is very knowledgeable, and points out the right things so that we keep on thinking as we are discovering the sites and the civilizations who built them. He is very professional, but also very personable, and we very much enjoyed spending time with him, also discussing the Peruvian economy, politics, and the state of the world. We hired him for 4 non contiguous day, in order to accommodate our and his schedule and it worked perfectly. I would recommend, if you can, to maybe not try to see both Huaca de la Luna and Chan Chan the same day, as they are both huge and very interesting. If you choose to hire Norte Expedition, we would recommend trying to book a bit in advance, as he is, understandingly, busy.

5.00Edwin was a great guide. Everything was catered for, even helped me to find my missing luggage that did not arrive at Trujillo airport. Edwin's car was clean and comfortable. We visited various huacas and museums with guided explanations, which was great as we do not speak Spanish. Everything went smoothly.

5.00Magnificent tour, with a dazzling cultural richness. Dilser, our guide is, in addition to very cukto and great professional, very friendly and friendly. The North of Peru was a great discovery for us, both because of the huacas and the conservation of the same as for the tomb of Mr. de Sipán and for the authentic life in the streets of Chiclayo (I recommend the visit to the model market) and Trujillo (do not lose its beautiful square of arms).

5.00Dilser is a great tour guide with impeccable English and an in-depth knowledge of all of the archaeological sites we visited including Chan Chan, the Moon temple near Trujillo, El Brujo, Sipan, and several museums around Trujillo and Chiclayo. We also went to the beach in Huanchaco for lunch, which was really beautiful. Would definitely recommend doing a tour with Dilser.

5.00I booked Dilser/Norte Expedition for a 3-day Moche tour, and had a truly wonderful experience. He picked me and my friend up at a very early hour from the Trujillo airport, made sure we got a good Peruvian breakfast, showed us Trujillo Colonial Center (a truly lovely city), and took us to see the huaca in Chan Chan, Huanchaco, and Huaca de la Luna. We also had a beautiful lunch in Huanchaco, overlooking the water and reed boats. He was incredibly considerate of our energy levels, given how much we had traveled the last few days, and let us pick the length of our day regarding our itinerary. The next day, we visited the Lady of Cao at El Brujo, drove to Chiclayo, and stopped for lunch at an outdoor Peruvian family restaurant. We ended our tour with a visit to the huaca in Sipán and the Tumbas Reales Museum. Dilser was incredibly knowledgeable about everything we visited (explaining the history of the site and what each item in the museums were), helped us practice our Spanish, and made sure we tried all the traditional Peruvian dishes and beverages. If I return to this beautiful country, I’m absolutely calling him up for another tour! I couldn’t be more happy with our experience!
