Our tour will begin when our guides pick you up at the meeting point early in the morning to arrive as soon as possible at the Lakes of Covadonga and make the most of the day.
We will stop at the Mirador de Entrelagos and enjoy the wonderful views of Lake Ercina and Lake Enol. Our guide will make the experience complete by explaining the history of Spain’s first national park. Then we will continue until we reach the Basilica of Covadonga, a truly impressive building.
We will also see the Cave of the Virgin of Covadonga or the Cave, where the carving of La Santina is located. Then we will stop for lunch in Cangas de Onís, to taste typical Asturian dishes or enjoy the city at your leisure.
We will have panoramic views from the bus to the beaches of La Espasa, La Isla and La Griega. Finally, we will make a stop in Lastres, where we can contemplate the town and its imposing viewpoint.

Lagos de Covadonga
The Covadonga Natural Park was the first National Park in Spain and, in 1995, it was renamed the Picos de Europa National Park and Biosphere Reserve.
Basilica de Santa Maria la Real de Covadonga
The Basilica of Santa María la Mayor de Covadonga is an essential stop on our tour. We will also talk about La Campanona, which weighs 5,000 kilos, and the crypt. oh! And of the Obelisk where they say that Pelayo was proclaimed King. Get ready to hear the most interesting stories!

5.00Great day excursion! Natural beauty of the lakes is stunning. Very glad that I left the driving to a professional as the road to and from the lakes was a bit dodgy with lots of curves on a narrow roadway. Much more relaxing as a passenger.

5.00This tour is a good way to cover scenic parts of the Picos de Europa national park including the historically significant Covadonga. I learnt a bit of Asturian history too. Our guides expertly led us through the sites in the midst of a holiday crowd of other tourists and managed to give us free time to explore a bit more of some locations. A very well spent day.
