I would recommend this tour to every single person visiting Cape Town! Chippa is an amazing guide who’s from the township and will brighten up your entire day. I felt safe the entire time and even with my nice Nikon camera never felt unsafe. This tour is truly special because you don’t merely walk around but you get the opportunity to interact with individuals from all walks of life in the township. This experience really opens your eyes to South Africa and is a beautiful honest account of life in the Townships. 12/10 recommend!!

Chippa was our driver and guide and also part of the company responsible for conducting this tour. He lives in Langa himself and clearly knew may of those living there and so was an excellent guide. He explained the history of the Langa township and why townships still exist 30 years after the advent of democracy in S Africa. He took us into people's homes, where we met the residents. We also visited a cultural centre, a start-up delivery business, a pottery and an infant school and were able to speak with those involved. An educational, enlightening and humbling experience that gave a perspective on the lifestyles of the inhabitants of the township in contrast to the lifestyles of the Cape Town city dwellers. A must for those seeking to understand something of how life is for the majority of local inhabitants, as well as for the majority of the population across the country as a whole.

Luthando, our guide for the day, is a legend. He picked us up from the Eastern Cape and we immediately felt at ease with him. He's charismatic, knowledgeable, great fun, and he wanted us to treat him as a 'friend' rather than just a guide. He is clearly well respected by the Langa township people. We felt welcomed there, and the warmth we received from locals was unforgettable. It's a respectful insight into township life. Luthando was very clear when photos were permitted and where not. This experience is 100% recommended.

A really great experience which gives some insight into a part of life that you otherwise might not see ! We ( it was just my wife and I on the tour) were met by Luthanda a local guide who took us to Langa township. It was like having a chat as we walked around - he told us where not to take pics etc and we felt entirely comfortable throughout. It was amazing, all the people we came across were wonderful, their energy and resilience is immense. He explained thst the local folks had more respect for those that chose to come and walk round to try understand rather than drive through ! So glad we did this, recommend it - slightly apprehensive as we walked in, but put completely at ease by Luthanda and the people of Llanga - it will be one of my abiding memories of Cape Town !

Well worth a tour. Amazing guide and incredibly interesting and useful to see something other than the ice creamy waterfront, this is also Cape Town and it should all take time to see

A profound and authentic experience. Highly recommended! We had a queasy feeling before, which turned out to be unfounded. We felt safe and welcome. Gazi, our guide first explained the origins and history and then we walked through the township with her. All residents have welcomed us friendly. You can feel the good community that rules there. We are glad to have made this tour and to have heard from the residents themselves their experiences. We will also recommend the tour to friends & acquaintances and wish the residents more support and an improvement in circumstances in the future! Thank you guys for letting us visit you.

An excellent trip, collected on time from Long Street and taken to District Six, Kanaladorp, Gugulethu and Langa, two different townships with a walking tour in Langa. A very interesting, informative and eye-opening tour that was run very well, not to be missed.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What an unforgettable day! Our tour through Langa Township was absolutely amazing – all thanks to our fantastic guide, Namhla 🙌 She showed us the real life and spirit of Langa with so much passion, warmth, and authenticity. The highlight was a spontaneous local party – being part of the community! 🥳 You can feel how proud Namhla is of her neighborhood, and that energy is contagious. We were really lucky to have her! If you want to experience the true heart of Cape Town, ask for Namhla! 💛
