~Winner of Singapore Tourism Award 2019~The bicycle tour is curated along the line of a crafted story of Tan Ah Huat; his entrepreneur life, his friends, his passion, and his love. As we cycle through the Trail of Tan Ah Huat, visitors will get to understand the contrasts of modern Singapore versus the scenes back in the 1920s with the aid of multimedia slideshows and crafted storytelling narrated by our guides. Visitors will get to learn about the cultures and a glimpse of history behind characters like Muhamad Zulfri(Malay Fisherman), Mr Singh(Doorman), Lim Mei Hua as the story unfolds.

5.00What a great way to explore Singapore! Our guide for our tour was Yap and he was so informative and told the great history of Singapore. We would highly recommend this bike tour of Singapore for a more hands on cultural experience. My partner and I agree this was one of our favourite experiences in lur years of travelling!

5.00Alfie was an amazing guide! Very informative , we learnt so much about Singapore! He was very easy to understand and made the whole tour so very enjoyable in every way! A fantastic introduction to Singapore in a fun way on a bicycle, totally safe and entertaining. We did actually deviate from the booked tour in consultation with Alfie and did Singapore city highlights instead as it was our first time in Singapore! We will do the original tour next time, hopefully with Alfie! Thank you for a fantastic experience.

5.00Alfie was very informative with telling us about how the average Singaporean lived in the 1920s. It wasn’t the rags to riches story which made the tour more interesting and enjoyable. We visited all the main landmarks but through the eyes of Tan Ah Huat. If you are looking for something different to do in Singapore, I recommend this tour.

The visit is made through the life of a character of the early 20th century which allows to discover in a fun way the emblematic places and the history of Singapore. The guide was attentive and very interesting. We enjoyed it very much!

5.00The emphasis on storytelling is what makes this tour shine. Usually I am happy to walk around, enjoy the sights, and get a glimpse of history. When I was on the Tan Ah Huat Chinatown Walking tour, I wanted to know everything! The tour guide uses the story of Tan Ah Huat to teach you about 1920’s Chinatown. Tan Ah Huat is a fictional character whose life was similar to many immigrants of this time period. I was captivated by the way money, tea, spices, trade, gangsters, love and death touched Tan Ah Huat’s Life! Yap was our tour guide. We asked him a million questions and he answered them all! He even stayed after to recommend local eats and other hidden gems! There are non-biking versions of this tour incase you want to go on foot. Highly recommend!

5.00The storytelling and videos that accompanied us at different parts of the bicycle tour were so evocative and informative. Simon told Ah Hua’s tale and showed us around so well that we were all caught up in the experience. The time flew by!
