The mountains were beautiful. The monastery and the church were lovely. Lunch was delicious. We all thought that the last stop was pointless and we think it should be missed . Another drink and absolutely nothing to see.

I did the Kykkos Monastery day tour from Paphos booked thru viator. This is advertised 'from Paphos' but we were picking people up for 90 mins from as far away as outer Limassol. We then stopped at a village coffee shop for 40 minutes after collecting all passengers. The tour the monastery itself was amazing and a must see destination in the island. There is a shrine at the top of the mountain then we came back to the actual monastery. First we had a tour of the church then over an hour freetime so plenty of time to explore. There are few food options, just a sandwich stand and ice cream truck outside as there is no lunch option on this tour. After leaving the monastery we drove for over an hour winding around the mountains. We then stopped in a village where they had made hand made jams which we could taste or purchase. Then more driving for more than an hour before we got to the highway. Then another hour dropping off passengers starting from Limassol to Paphos. Its an ok tour if you dont mind big bus tours and are not pressed for time but it can easily be done in just a half day if you want just to the monastery and back. Dont expect to be home before 7pm.

The monastery is great and definately one of the must see places in Cyprus. However, this is advertised as a trip from Paphos yet we were picking up people for 75 mins as far away as Limassol outskirts. We then made a coffee stop for 40 mins. The monastery was the highlight and there was plenty of freetime to go exploring. Bring some snacks as not much food options. We then drove for another 75 mins around the mountains just to get to a village to sample some jams. Then another hour doing all the dropoffs from Limassol back to Paphos. This is a good trip but expect it to last the full day due to group size. It can easily be done in half day if you just goto the monastery and back but I wasnt at my hotel till after six.
