You will share a snowmobile with another person, taking turns as the driver and passenger. Halfway through the tour, we’ll have a short break where you’ll swap places, ensuring both of you have the chance to drive the snowmobile.
After the tour, you can relax and warm up with a hot meal and drink by the open fire inside one of the lávvus (indigenous Sámi tent). During your meal, a camp host will inform you where and when you are expected for the second part of your activity: the visit to Tromsø Ice Domes Snow Park.
Enter the Park and discover the magic of the snow and ice sculptures. Wander around by yourself through a mesmerising display of snow and ice sculptures, a snow maze and explore our two domes. Marvel at the amazing art coming to life with light in its natural surroundings of pristine nature and peaceful Arctic landscapes. Get close to the two most iconic animals of Northern Norway: cuddle and take photos with our huskies and go visit the reindeers near the park.

Such a fun experience. The snowmobiling was the most exciting. Wish we could have done the ice domes

We did the Winter Wonderland experience with our one year old. Staff were really friendly. You got a good amount of time on the snow sledging around. Great opportunities for photos. We then watched a short pantomime which was better than I was expecting it to be and our son enjoyed it. We then went to the village area and saw all of the animals which was really nicely presented. There were also a few games and photo opportunities. Would recommend.

Had a really good day, our favourite trip of the holiday. Snowmobiling was so much fun, got a good 45-50mins each out on the snowmobile (wish it was more!). The food in the lavvu was really good and a nice experience speaking with other people on the trip and the staff. The staff were really good and couldn’t do more for you! Ice domes/snow park was impressive but there was a bit of a wait between food/going into the snow park.

The weather couldn’t have been better cold but sunny and at the end some flakes of snow. We were all fitted out with snow suits, boots, balaclavas, gloves and helmets. A large range in sizes for all. We had a tuition from the group leader on how the snowmobiles worked and off we set. Wow what an amazing experience. We were able to swap rider and pillion halfway. The scenery was amazing and the ride was thrilling. Having never been on a snowmobile before we were a little cautious but it was amazing. I would recommend this to anyone. Afterwards we all met for hot drinks and a local Norwegian stew and bread. That was very tasty. We were able to go and meet the dogs from the sledding experience. Very noisy but friendly The ice domes and snow hotel was equally as amazing. Cold but some amazing sculptures. We learnt about the Sami people and met some of their reindeer that they also use for sledding. On the whole a truly beautiful and amazing day out. Well worth the money

The Staff were friendly and explained all required information before the start of the activity. They were on time and the food quality was excellent. The reindeer visit was boring and not worth it.

This was a great experience. The snowmobiling was perfect for beginners and families. My parents (who are in their 60s) really enjoyed the trip and so did I! Highly recommend— if you are worried about speed, it goes 15-20mph on mostly flat areas. Very easy to learn and we had a great guide. 10/10 recommend

What a fun day! It was our first time ever snowmobiling and we felt totally confident after our guide’s thorough run thru. The time on the snowmobiles was awesome and it was just breathtakingly beautiful! Loved the midday soup/cider stop in the warming hut and then on to the fantastic ice sculpture hotel. Not sure I’d ever be brave enough to sleep there, but it was incredible to tour. The carvings were amazing. 10/10 recommend this day trip when in Tromso!

This was a very well organized day. Everyone was so helpful and willing to make your day special. It's about a 90 minute drive each way, 2 hrs of snowmobile, 1 hr of lunch and about an hour of visiting the reindeers and ice dome. I recommend this activity for your family.
