You'll drive into the countryside, visiting Lampadistis Monastery in Kalopanayiotis, and enjoying a few pleasant surprises in rustic villages in between.
First up is Platanisteia – a small village famed for its printmaking museum. After finding out about the history of the island's print industry, we'll visit the medieval Tzelefos Bridge – it's a standout selfie spot deep in the middle of woodland. Then, it's on to the village of Kalopanayiotis. You'll drop into a traditional family-run taverna for a lunch made from locally sourced ingredients.
The highlight of the day is the village's Monastery of St John Lampadistis. The murals, which date as far back as the 14th century, are highly refined and very well-preserved. Admission fees to the monastery, which are included, go to its upkeep. And before heading back to the resort, you'll be able to sample some local wines in a typical Troodos Mountains winery.

We booked this trip through TUI as it was promoted by them. As we were staying in Paphos we wanted to see more of the island. The destinations in the Troodos were varied and the lunch was excellent. However, whoever is promoting the trip should make everyone aware that the majority of the time is spent on the minibus (very good driver) and whilst many of the views of the mountains are wonderful, the route is very twisty and mountainous. Whoever is promoting the trip should also make people aware that those who suffer from travel sickness may want to consider whether it is for them.

This was a great tour. A suggestion might be to include how winding the roafs are. We went as a group of 9, several of our group got car sick, and they never get car sick. In addition, we were picked up at our hotel by a van, and dropped off road side to wait for another van. This was not explained to us in advance, and we asked the driver of the first van to wait with us. He would not wait. This was very unsettling being in a foreign country. Other than these two incidents, the tour was great.
