Highly recommended. We got lucky and had a very nice weather day (a little warm for truffles but nice for us!) and a really nice group of fellow truffle hunters. And finding some truffles didn’t hurt either! The guides are super nice people. Plan a full day. And don’t make a dinner reservation that day. You’ll be full from lunch!

WOW! This was the coolest thing I have ever done and the operators were beyond informative, authentic, passionate truffle hunters. Santino was the coolest and his dogs were stars…Bosko found MANY HUGE TRUFFLES as we ran behind him seeing the magic happen. These dogs smell the truffles from hundreds of feet away. Felix and Secil’s adorable 3 dogs found many truffles which we all indulged in at lunch at the coolest hidden gem on the gorgeous rolling hills. Heaps of delicious starters including the yummiest polenta all specially order so Santino could proudly shave massive amounts of truffles over every bite…. I had three servings and he kept shaving the fresh truffles we had just hunted down. More dishes followed with more truffles shaved over and over. That amount of truffles in a restaurant in Beverly Hills where I’m traveling from ( or Milan for that matter) would have been $300 or more easy! After lunch I bought the beautiful wooden truffle slicer and brush cleaner with the Truffle Hike logo on it so I can bring back the memories to California….even if I just shave regular mushrooms with it I don’t care, I want to relive this day over and over. I need to go back as soon as possible,

The truffle hunting experience itself was great — the nature was beautiful, the dogs were adorable and skilled, and the guide explained everything really well. It was fascinating to see how the truffles are found and learn about the process. However, a couple of things could have been better. We didn’t receive any truffles to take home, which was a bit disappointing after participating in the hunt. Also, lunch was really long (much longer than truffle hunting). Moreover, one of the drivers seemed to have had too much to drink during the lunch, which felt unprofessional and concerning.

The best day we have ever had in our years in Italia. I could not recommend this experience enough. Even with the heat, Secil, Felix and Santino made us feel so welcome. We met at a local bar for caffè before heading out. Watching them so calm, Gemma and her pup, Raul and Vasco with their fantastic energy, finding truffle at nearly every stop. Felix and Secil teaching us about where to look, different types, and the conservation. So peaceful to leave the city, and be with people who share their passion, and their amazing dogs. Santino had a much appreciated sneaky stop on the way to lunch for refreshments for us. Lunch at a local could not have been better, fantastic genuine simple food and local wine paired with laughs and fresh truffle. For me, this was very nostalgic and emotional: it brought back a lot of memories wandering the forest with my Nonno, pranzo felt like my Nonna had cooked and we were with the family at the table. Grazie mille Secil, Felix e Santino per la giornata migliore!

Such a pleasure to learn about village life in Piedmont and truffle culture. The time hunting was perfect and not too long - within a couple of hours, we found over 15 black summer truffles, thanks to the keen noses of doggies Gemma and Toca. The trattoria had a lively authentic vibe as we enjoyed shaved truffles over hot cheese and pasta. Our guides Secil and Felix were warm, enthusiastic and fun. This experience is worth a revisit!
