First ever safari & it was incredible!

5.00We had a five hour tour departing at 1pm. We saw an incredible amount including wild foxes (golden jackals), spotted deer, water buffalo, mongoose, muggar Crocodile, grey langars, Sri Lankan Toque macaque, turtles, monitor lizards & the highlight of the whole trip were the amazing elephants - the baby was only 2/3 weeks old! Dewmi and our driver were very considerate of the animals, we didn't want to get too close and they followed our wishes carefully. We stopped off for a snack which was lovely and Dewmi had a good supply of water. Dewmi was an excellent guide and has excellent English. She gave us excellent information regarding all of the animals and birds, and would double check if she wasn't sure. I would love to come back one day!

5.00We were welcomed and made comfortable immediately on arrival. Our Tusker safari vehicle was comfortable and MOST IMPORTANTLY driven courteously by our driver for his guests . (We witnessed other vehicles being rocked about with much less care). Our company driver, thankfully was experienced and we learned later he’d been with the company 12 years which speaks volumes - sorry we didn’t get his name . This company Tusker do things right, they provided us with an official guide from the park (one of 25 ranger guides) and our guide was called Sandun, he was excellent and he spoke very good English. On returning from our full morning safari we were then offered a 3 course buffet lunch at a lovely air conditioned, very clean & tidy restaurant called “Water’s Edge” and again, greeted by very welcoming, smiling people. We thought great value for money at a price of 2500 Rs each. All in all a great experience all made possible by a customer caring focused company.

5.00We booked this trip with friends. The price was reasonable, and the service was very good. The manager Dewmi was very nice and helpful. The drive in safari was great, we saw a lot of crocodiles, elephants (also baby ones!), mungos, lizards. But no leopard, unfortunatelly. But anyway, it was very good and I would recommand :)

5.00This safari was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip! The guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure we didn’t miss a single animal sighting. We saw elephants, crocodiles, peacocks, buffaloes, and even some rare birds. The views were breathtaking and we took so many photos! The jeep was comfortable and the service was very professional. This is a perfect safari for families or even solo travelers. Highly recommend Tusker Safari Service if you want a real taste of Sri Lankan wildlife.

5.00We visited Tusker for one night. We came to do the safari in Udawalawe. We were amazed at the Tusker Hotel. There is a spice garden that the owners have created in the garden. We did not know we were the first Clients to see it. It’s really really beautiful. If you have not had a chance to see a spice garden this is the perfect time to do it. Right next to the accomodation in the garden. We had a guided tour by Theekshsna, she was fantastic and I learnt a lot about all the local spices! Please come to visit this unexpected little paradise :) The family are so welcoming and kind.

5.00Recommend this safari company the driver listened to us and gave us a good safari Embossed with his spotting of birds and where he took us in the park he avoided the crowds which was very important to us we saw lots of Elephants to add to our safari and saw a wild cat all in we Recommend this company
