  Wonderful half day excursion in Curacao a MUST SEE— you will not find the sea turtles on your own if you rent a car and do your own thing. Patrick has been doing this for a decade and has such a beautiful relationship with the sea turtles. Make sure to book in advance because they time the trips when there are not a lot of cruise ships docked in Curacao. Do not miss this — we made memories to last a lifetime. And he shares the pics from his go pro with you at no extra charge.

  Patrick and Eddy were great!! They made our experience worthwhile. We saw lots of sea turtles, flamingos, and went to Cas Abao, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world! I highly recommend this tour to anyone coming to Curacao!

  This was an absolute blast! Patrick and Sexy Eddie made the trip! Patrick had the turtles swimming all around us and we were able to get AWESOME pictures! He even sent us pictures he took on the way back to the drop off point. I can not recommend this trip enough!! Definitely unlocked some core memories here!!

  We really enjoyed hearing about some of the history of Curacao during the transportation to and between stops. The flamingo viewing was approximately 5 minutes and extremely underwhelming. The sea turtle experience would have been amazing, but with a large group it was just chaotic. Arms and legs were flailing everywhere trying to get close to the turtles. We separated from the group and did some snorkeling a bit further away and were able to see parrot fish, a trumpet fish, a spotted snake eel, and many other fish. After a while the turtles started to disperse away from the guide and we were able to see them with a little more space between individuals.

  We had a really memorable experience on this snorkel with sea turtles tour in Curaçao. Swimming alongside the turtles was absolutely the highlight—there were several turtles of various sizes at the beach and came surprisingly close, which made it feel like a once-in-a-lifetime moment. They do feed the turtles with dead fish to lure them in, but watching the turtles fight for food was also a cool experience. The water is crystal clear and the beaches we visited were beautiful. The tour was well organized, and transportation was smooth with easy pickup and drop-off. Our guides, Patrick and Sexy Eddie, were fantastic—super friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience more fun and relaxed. They shared great information about the island’s history along the way, which added a lot to the day. In addition to the turtle snorkeling stop, we also got to see flamingos, which was such a cool bonus, and we visited a second beach where we had time to swim and relax on our own. It made the whole experience feel more well-rounded and not just a single stop. A couple things to keep in mind: the main turtle beach (Playa Grandi) can get pretty crowded since it’s a public beach, and there are some rocky areas, so water shoes are a good idea. While snorkeling gear is provided, you might prefer to bring your own. Overall, this is a great excursion if you want a fun, active day and an unforgettable wildlife experience—just go in with the right expectations and you’ll love it.

  This may be a long review bear with me. I booked our tour and got a confirmation. I think the following day I got a text from Patrick (our tour guide) asking me to change my date until the following day. I said sure but how do I change it on my reservation he said go to the Viator app and change it on there. So I went to the app but couldn’t change it. So I sent Patrick a text back and told him I was unable to change it on the app so I wasn’t comfortable changing my date. I never heard another word from him until the day of the tour. I sent him a text asking where we were supposed to meet him that when he told me my tour was the following day. I said I never agreed to that. That’s when we texted back and forth for about an hour.It got heated. He told me he was canceling my tour and sending me a refund. The texts continued and finally we agreed that we would go the following day. They picked us up at 9:15 and off we went. We went to see Flamingos. It was really unnecessary. We got off the bus and walked to get closer. The area was dirty and unsafe. And where we walked didn’t really bring us that much closer to the flamingos. We should have just driven by and he could have pointed out the flamingos. This stop was a total waste of time. Then we got back on the bus and headed to a beach. Where we had to rent chairs we were only there for 45 minutes. After that we got back on the bus and headed to swim with the turtles. We get there get off the bus and are taken to a sketchy rooftop with really scary steps leading up to the roof. We were able to leave our belongings up there and get changed into our swim suits if needed. I will say that swimming with the turtles was amazing and Patrick was great while we were there. He took some amazing pictures and videos and shared them with all of us. That really was the highlight of the day. It almost made the rest of it worth it. Almost. I’m not sure if the problem lies with Viator of the tour itself. We booked a ride from the airport and had issues with that as well. So buyer beware. I would swim with the turtles again and again I am not interested with the rest of the unnecessary stuff.

• An Unforgettable Experience

  This truly was an unforgettable experience! Our tour driver was named Jeremiah, and on fairly long drive to our snorkeling destination he discussed the area, language, buildings, people, history, food, and so much more. It made the drive extremely enjoyable. Before the snorkeling though we did stop to see the flamingoes. Sadly, they were quite far off. Next time, and yes there will be a next time, I will bring my zoom lens. Grote Knip Beach is unique: turquois waters as far as the eye can see and a sandy beach, but this tropical view is surrounded by moon like outcroppings of rock with spiny cactus growing everywhere. It is absolutely beautiful and at the same time arid. One must experience the truly unique look of the Dutch Caribbean islands. I believe most of my group took advantage of the chairs and umbrellas on the beach and relaxed. There is food available along with restroom facilities. I, though, had brought along my snorkeling gear and swam in the bay along the edge of the cliff. There were some beautiful areas of coral and plants and of course fish. I have snorkeled in areas with more coral, but this was very beautiful and worth my time. The waters were extremely calm as well. Once done, we piled back into the van and headed over to swim with the sea turtles. Our guide there was named Patrick and his nickname must be the Turtle Whisperer. After a few minutes in the water, he was able to call over about 5 sea turtles. They surrounded our group and we must have spent easily 15-20 minutes viewing them. I brought along an underwater camera, but Patrick snapped 75 or so pictures and even a video and once done he loaded them onto our phones for free. (Make sure someone in your group has an iPhone for easy transfer). Our drive back to the port was fairly quick, and Jeremiah even offered to take those who wanted to the distillery. This experience was a highlight of my time in the Dutch Caribbean, and I would highly recommend anyone to book it. One final note: I left my vacation journal in their van. An employee of Curacao Dreams Travel Co., Sevi, was able to take photos of the pages and sent them to me. What incredible care and kindness he showed to me. This to me proves this tour group goes above and beyond. • Magical Turtle Swim!

  This whole tour was a highlight of the trip. Our driver was on time, knowledgeable and a great island tour guide and swimming with the turtles was a magical experience that my kids will never forget. Patrick was truly the turtle whisperer!
