Enjoy a walking tour of Gibraltar's Upper Rock with an experienced English speaking local guide.
We will take you around the Upper Rock nature reserve as we walk up the Rock and along the way you will see many of the attractions that Gibraltar has to offer. You will see the military and historical sites, get the chance to walk up the famous Med Steps and you will also get the chance to meet some of our world famous Monkeys.
Please note we have listed the Tours duration as 3 hours, 3 minutes. This is only an approximate time because different people walk at a different pace. If you need to the Tour to finish at a certain time please let us know.

The World War 2 Tunnels (We do not always visit the WW2 Tunnels, but if you want to message me so that this can be arranged).

5.00My wife and I had an absolutely brilliant time on Stephen Hill’s Upper Rock Walking Tour — it was the highlight of our week in Gibraltar. Stephen is a fantastic guide: friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about sharing the Rock’s history, wildlife, and culture. He's also great fun and very entertaining. From the start he made us feel very welcome, setting just the right pace and making the whole walk relaxed and enjoyable. His stories brought the history of Gibraltar to life, and we loved learning about everything from the wartime tunnels to the local flora and fauna — not to mention meeting the famous Barbary macaques up close! What really added to the experience was Stephen’s thoughtfulness and genuine interest in making sure we had a great stay. He gave us some excellent suggestions for things to do and places to visit for the rest of our trip, several of which turned out to be real gems. We came away with a much deeper appreciation of Gibraltar and its people thanks to him. A top-quality tour and a truly memorable afternoon — we’d recommend Walk Gibraltar to anyone visiting the Rock. Worth visiting the Rock of Gibraltar

5.00Good communication and quick response times from the tour operator in advance. The tour gives a good overview of the history, but also current situation of Gibraltar. The nature reserve is very beautiful and diverse (history sites, plants and animals). The views are spectacular. But I admit it's a bit exhausting, steep there. But Stephen is offering less and less strenuous alternatives. He is very nice and responds to the wishes and questions of the guests. I was traveling alone with my partner and him. It is definitely worth it! Also priced a good deal.

5.00It was our second time booking this tour with Stephen. The first was with my son in Dec 2024 and this one with our friends. Both times doing the Mediterranean steps. It is spectacular, challenging and you get full reward with the stunning views. Stephen is a knowledgeable and friendly guide. The second time did not feel like a repeat. Highly recommend doing this activity with Stephen.

5.00Stephen led a spirited animated and entertaining walk to the top of Gibraltar rock and down. It was exhilarating fun and beautiful with the highlight being the views from the Mediterranean steps. Stephen is very knowledgeable about the history of the place and passionate about its beauty and formatability. The tour was a delight highly recommended

5.00We, my colleagues and I, would like to once again thank Stephen for the fantastic and truly informative day. We had the opportunity to experience the Rock from a completely new perspective. The ascent chosen by Stephen, in coordination with us, was certainly demanding, but it was absolutely worth it. Stunning views of Gibraltar, its flora and fauna, and the sea made it unforgettable. 5.00We did this walking tour of Gibraltar with Stephen on 7.3.26 and throughly enjoyed it. Stephen was inclusive, knowledgeable and friendly. In our opinion he set the tone and pace just right and the small group size meant he had plenty of time to chat and answer any questions and point different additional areas of interest out of each of us in the group. 4.00This is a 5 out of 5. Stephen was the best guide, he knew everything about Gibraltar and the Rock. He paced the trip perfectly for us. The flowers, the views, the greenery. It was spectacular. The highlight of our 25 day cruise. Book him.
