Train Cemetery
These are the remains of locomotives from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, making this site a must-see attraction when visiting Uyuni and a perfect place for artistic photography. The trains, originally manufactured in Germany and England, were once used to transport minerals from the famous Cerro Rico of Potosí, playing an important role in Bolivia’s mining history.
Colchani
It is a small town located 23 km north of Uyuni, where families are dedicated to the traditional extraction and processing of salt using rustic methods and ancestral tools. Here, we will visit a salt museum to learn about the production process and admire unique salt-based handicrafts created by local artisans.

This tour was excellent! Our guide, Ezekiel, was there when we arrived at the airport, took us to a local place for a good (and cheap!) breakfast, and was knowledgeable about the country, as a whole, and Uyuni and Salt Flats, in particular. Our driver, Omar, was great as well, and they both took great photos and videos of our tour group. They also made sure we got a good pizza dinner before we got on the bus back to La Paz. I would highly recommend them!
