We will meet at the door of San Valero Parish. We will go to the Ruzafa market together and we will make the purchase of the fresh products necessary to cook a good paella. While we are making the purchase we will tell you the origin of the paella and customs and culture of the Valencian people. Later we will walk for 8 minutes to reach the kitchen where we will hold a sangria workshop. The chef will be waiting us with some delicious tapas accompanied by sangria, beer, water ... Then our chef will explain step by step the preparation of the authentic valencian paella (chicken and rabbit) and once finished we will sit down to taste it. We will accompany the paella with a Valencian tomato salad, Valencia wines, seasonal fruit, typical Valencian sponge cake, sweet wine and coffee.

It was a lovely day of learning a new valuable skill. We missed out on the market part as it was closed due to a holiday. However the organisers were super prepared and bought everything needed ahead of time. Tapas and drinks were an excellent addition to the day. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. We had young children and teenagers in our group and our leading chef was always making sure that they were engaged and having fun/purpose. I highly recommend this activity for anyone wanting to learn something so characteristic to Spain and to spend memorable time together. Thank you again for hosting and feeding us, teaching and entertaining us. I will make sure to send my friends your way.

We really enjoyed this workshop. We started at ruzafa market. Here I thought there was some more explanation to be given. We bought some tomatoes and beans but for the rest there was little told about the market. Then we went to the cozy kitchen. There we were immediately treated to a delicious sangria! They showed us how best to make them and indeed: the best sangria I have also drunk!! With our sangria we also got delicious tapas. Then the cooking started. Everyone could do something and while waiting we had a nice chat with the other international guests, After an hour the paella was ready! It was really delicious! We were given wine to drink with this. And we ended with some delicious dessert plate and coffee! Really recommended to have a nice afternoon!!

Enthusiastic guides, excellent food and sangria. Really fun was to spend an afternoon. There was no shortage of sangria, wine and aperitif by the way.

Very worthwhile experience. The ten people came together like a family cooking dinner together with a lot of laughter, along with getting an education. Food was delicious but I wasn’t able to finish and had to get a to go box. I planned to leave a generous tip but left quickly to allow for the next group. I hope someone can cover for me and show the three guides and cooks your appreciation. I would do it again

We had a fantastic time, much better than I expected. The wander round the market to learn about and pick up the ingredients was interesting and we then had a short walk to the kitchen which was well laid out and very clean. The sangria making was really informative but the paella cooking experience was absolutely fantastic. I don’t cook, so I expected to just sit on the sidelines but it was so welcoming and the 3 hosts were so good that everyone had a job and a role to do as we worked our way through the recipe The time went quickly, the sangria flowed and we had fun. When we sat down to eat we were again made comfortable with drinks and even dessert wine coffee and cake to finish off which was all unexpected. This experience was fantastic value for money and we are already looking to book this on a return trip for a group of friends. Thoroughly recommend it but made oh so good by Marianna and Guillermo. Their English is very good and both their presenting styles were great for this. Christina, who was the extra host at the kitchen, and the rest of the group were also very friendly too. Absolute 10 out of 10 for this experience.
