Our guided tour through the vibrant streets of Valletta will allow you to discover the beauty and charm of the fortified city built by the Knights in 1566. The order of St. John ruled over the islands for 268 years and left a unique cultural legacy of which Valletta is the prime example. We first enjoy a breathtaking view of the Grand Harbour from the Upper Barracca Gardens. Then we visit St. Johns Co-Cathedral, including the Caravaggio masterpieces in the Oratory. The Co-Cathedral houses one of the most beautiful marble inlaid floors in the world.
Going down Republic Street you will walk past the Grand Masters’ Palace (outside view only) and the recently restored St. George’s Square before watching the Malta Experience, an audiovisual show where Malta’s history throughout the centuries is brought back to life.

The tour guide was extremely unorganized. She had trouble getting in touch with the bus driver. Our tour started about 45 minutes late.

Very fast paced- and not enough adaptation to weather conditions. Guide was very knowledgeable but she did not adapt at all to the extremely hot weather

Very poor because it was late departing. The guide had no audio assistance and unless you were standing right next to her you could not hear what she was saying. People complained but there was nothing she could do at that tme

The walking tour was fantastic, not strenuous at all. We had a very knowledgeable tour guide who spoke English. She knew a lot of the history of Valletta. Learning about Malta, and seeing St John's Cathedral was so impressive. They have someone pick you up from your hotel and drop you off. I highly recommend staying after the tour for shopping, music, and food take a cab back. Beautiful place. Worth the money.

Well organized, very interesting with a guide perfectly bilingual and who knows the history of his country at his fingertips

Jennifer was an excellent guide and it was a beautiful and well-paced tour in the sunshine showing us the delights of Valletta. A time change, 2 languages rather than just English and replacement in the itinerary - all different to the trip advertised gives this 4 rather than 5 stars

The tour guide (I think her name was Janine?) was knowledgeable and friendly, I think she did a good job and I can recommend her. What was not optimal: - The tour was advertised as containing entry fees to the grandmaster's palace, but we didn't go there. Instead we went to see a "5D" movie about Malta (~15 minutes). - Meeting time was preponed within 24 hours prior to the tour by more than one hour (no problem with that) but then we had to wait for 15 to 20 minutes until someone showed up - There was an unnecessary transport shared with other groups at the beginning from the communicated meeting point to another one. We could have went to the final meeting point on our own if it had been communicated upfront. Apart from that the group size was ok albeit a little big (I think about 27 persons). In crowded places it was sometimes hard to understand the guide - as an improvement I would recommend to provide headsets to the attendees and for the guide to use a microphone. That way the guide can even speak while walking in front and leading the group through the streets. Nevertheless I enjoyed the tour!

a guide who speaks French poorly, tries to be funny but misses the essential part of the visit: interest visitors Between reading the signs and the explanations in the guide there is no difference! A guide is expected to provide details, anecdotes and speak the language of visitors correctly.

During a Costa cruise , we stopped in Valletta . On the program a visit to this charming city. Unfortunately the time taken by the stopover did not allow us to visit everything that deserved to be. We will have to consider a short stay to discover all the “treasures” of this charming and welcoming city.
