We will meet by the entrance of the museum, to skip the waiting line and enter the museum all together.
We will start by going over the Swedish Empire and the war in which Gustav Adolf had the ship commissioned, what was the purpose of the ship? Who was the enemy during these years? Something happened during the construction and the ship sank, what happened? and whose fault was it?
Many years later it was found and salvaged, but this was no easy task. We will go over the engineering project together and show you the maps used in the 19th century to find the location of the ship, and how it was found in the 1950s. Once it was salvaged, a time capsule of the 17th century was opened and many secrets were revealed of how life was back then.
This tour is the perfect choice for the ones who want to get a deep knowledge about everything that happened, in and out of the ship. Come full of questions, because we want to answer all of them!

Arthur was an amazing guide for this truly magnificent museum. He was funny, animated and very knowledgeable about Swedish history and explained in detail about the many exhibits around the ship. He was so interesting and allowed time for many questions and moved through the museum in a timely manner, dodging all the crowds. We loved this tour!

Amazing museum. So much history, science and engineering in rescuing this amazing piece of nautical history. Just walking into the space and seeing the size of the ship, is mindblowing.

Johnas, our guide, made exploring the Vasa museum so much easier than walking around on our own. He had a plan that allowed us to see all the floors in a way that we would never have figured out on our own, keeping us together, answering questions, and allowing for some of us being in our 70s.

The visit was very nice, enriched by a very lively and well informed guide who added interesting details as we went through the beautiful museum. Definitely worth the over two hours spent wondering around the place
