We will meet by the entrance of the museum, to skip the waiting line and enter the museum all together.
We will start by going over the Swedish Empire and the war in which Gustav Adolf had the ship commissioned, what was the purpose of the ship? Who was the enemy during these years? Something happened during the construction and the ship sank, what happened? and whose fault was it?
Many years later it was found and salvaged, but this was no easy task. We will go over the engineering project together and show you the maps used in the 19th century to find the location of the ship, and how it was found in the 1950s. Once it was salvaged, a time capsule of the 17th century was opened and many secrets were revealed of how life was back then.
This tour is the perfect choice for the ones who want to get a deep knowledge about everything that happened, in and out of the ship. Come full of questions, because we want to answer all of them!

It was an awesome experience. The tour guide was amazing and we learned quite a bit more than if we had done a self-guided tour.

Our guide Kara was excellent! She knows SO MUCH about history. Aside from Kara being excellent, this tour was just a little too long for us. We aren’t mega history buffs and it was a bit intense - long tour with lots of standing, not a lot of places to sit.

Have been guided in the Vasa Museum in a small clear group (6 people). Our tour guide Viola accompanied us competently through the museum and also answered us questions. It took us 2 1/4 hours for the tour. After the tour we took the time to go to the exhibition again independently. It's worth it! Thank you

Don’t miss taking a guided tour of the Vasa Museum. We went on the tour with our two college-age sons and they agree. The ship itself is very impressive, but having a guided tour adds a lot of depth to the experience. We had Sophie for our tour guide and she was so friendly, knowledgeable and fun. She reached out on the day of the tour to let us know where to meet up, and how we could recognize her, so that was easy. During the tour, she took us around all of the exhibits and added interesting details. She answered all of our questions, too. I highly recommend this tour, and Sophie made it really enjoyable.

There are no words to describe how great it was to take the tour with Guillermo!! we were my family and he and he told us the whole story of the boat. If you want to take the tour in Spanish it is available and you will regret it.

We had a delightful tour with Kyra. She was informative and made the tour interactive and exciting to learn the story. Through questions we learned about the Vasa’s watery history and the people’s motivations around the Vasa.

I wasn't sure why this museum would be so highlu rated. The minute we stepped in and saw the ship I instantly knew why. Vasa itself is a marvel and I was very suprprised at how much there was to explore in the museum. Viola was our tour guide and really made everything come to life. Her knowledge of the history and details of the Vasa were impressive. Definitely a 5 star tour and guide.

I was hesitant to do a guided tour of the museum, but Aggie did an amazing job with walking us through and explaining everything about the Vasa and parts I’m sure I would’ve missed if I had gone without the tour.

Cedric is one of the very best tour guides I have encountered anywhere. His genuine warmth and enthusiasm made it feel like catching up with an old friend rather than taking a formal tour. Granted, he is in a great place filled with beauty and history, but he would be a terrific tour guide anywhere. Also, his style is very social and light such that the four hours we spent with him felt more like catching up with an old friend than taking a formal tour. We started in Gamla Stan, where we also stayed, then branched out to discover more of the city. The conversations were informative and fun. It helps that Cedric is a true global citizen who has lived in a lot of places and that worldly perspective showed in all our conversations about Stockholm. Cedric is obviously truly committed to continuous learning and is qualified to lead tours of any size and on most Stockholm-related topics. I have no doubt that should we return to Stockholm in the future, not only would it be fun to catch up with Cedric; we would come away learning lots of news things about the fantastic city he calls home.
