We will meet by the entrance of the museum, to skip the waiting line and enter the museum all together.
We will start by going over the Swedish Empire and the war in which Gustav Adolf had the ship commissioned, what was the purpose of the ship? Who was the enemy during these years? Something happened during the construction and the ship sank, what happened? and whose fault was it?
Many years later it was found and salvaged, but this was no easy task. We will go over the engineering project together and show you the maps used in the 19th century to find the location of the ship, and how it was found in the 1950s. Once it was salvaged, a time capsule of the 17th century was opened and many secrets were revealed of how life was back then.
This tour is the perfect choice for the ones who want to get a deep knowledge about everything that happened, in and out of the ship. Come full of questions, because we want to answer all of them!

The ship is impressive and so is the story of her life. We spent 3 hours playing the game of discovering its construction and its extraction from the sea.To see in real a royal ship of the period in such a good condition is a real pleasure for the eyes and also the imagination Visited

Admittedly, I am not a huge museum person- but this guided tour with Aggie was a highlight of our trip to Stockholm! Sadly, Aggie’s last tour was ours but don’t let that stop you from going. We learned so much! There are several other fun museums to visit on “museum island” too!

When visiting Stockholm it’s a must to go to the Vasa Museum to see and hear about the 400year old warship. Our guide Katherine was excellent. Her knowledge and passion for sharing the amazing history of the Vasa was fantastic. We loved her energy and easy going nature while sharing the historical facts surrounding the sinking recovery and restoration of the famous Stockholm Vasa warship. A 5 star guide well worth the money. Thank you Katherine
