Great way to get off the tourist track at Victoria Falls. We took the mid-range hike which was not too difficult - steep and rocky but fairly short. Lunch was delicious. It was an eye-opener to see how regular people live in Zimbabwe. Thanks for an interesting morning!

It was great. The lower gorge was mesmerising. The track though is not the easiest, JB our guide was very nice and kept making sure we are all safe.

I went on a beautiful hike through the countryside and villages of Bakota Gorge. Japhet my guide was lovely - he went at a slow pace so I could enjoy the scenery and take lots of photographs! We took a look around a local farm and the chef put on a delicious meal - I would recommend this as a way to get away from the hustle and bustle of vic falls for a gentle day hiking with beautiful views.

This was a superb day. My guide Japhet was on time, we had a great hike at the gorge. The guide looked after me the whole time and answered patiently all my questions about wildlife and local traditions. During the hike he encouraged me to make stops and hike at my own paste. Thereafter we had lunch at one of the nearby villages. I had shared with him that I was interested to learn more about the local culture so Japhet kindly introduced me to the village elders and the priest; we visited the church and a local farm :) I could not have asked for more and the whole experience was authentic and adventurous. I wish I had more days but I am glad that I found you with the hope to meet again.

A good Way to see the landscape, a local Village In the Bush, growing food, feed and animals. The tour ended up with a local prepared meal on open fire

We thoroughly enjoyed this hike - the gorge views are great and nice to get out of Victoria falls and see some more local spots. The guide and driver were super cool and so warm and welcoming. After the hike we had a simple but delicious home cooked meal in the village and had a look around their local farm. I am veggie and they catered for this no probs. 100% recommend this - to get out the tourist bubble that can be vic falls town. We hope to come back and stay in the chalets in the town.
