The catacombs portion was wonderful! Our guide was knowledgeable, answered all sorts of questions, and had a great personality. However, the crypt portion of the tour was very short. We were supposed to be there an hour, and we were barely there 40 minutes. We didn’t get to see the majority of the museum and it felt very rushed.

I feel this tour was a good value. Very interesting. Paula was a magnificent guide. The artwork in Cappucin Friary is very particular and shouldn’t be missed. The sisters caring for Catacomb of Priscilla are thorough and knowledgeable, cared for our experience. Also a great tour. Thank you!

Our tour was great! She was very knowledgeable. We ran into some traffic delays but we still got to see everything and spend the full amount of time in the catacombs. Priscilla’s catacomb was by far our favorite and something we will remember for the rest of our lives. Getting to see the ancient paintings was so special.

Stepping into the catacombs after dark was surreal! Our guide blended history and humor perfectly, making a spooky place oddly inviting. The Capuchin Crypts added a moving touch—highly recommend for adventurous souls

We did the After Hours Catacombs Tour with The Tour Guy, and this ended up being my absolute favorite tour in Rome. Our guide, Arvin, was so friendly and helpful (he even gave us restaurant recommendations!). It was a larger group (three vans worth of people), and they were trying to get the audio headsets to stretch between us — sometimes a bit staticky, and in the catacombs it was hard to hear since you’re walking single-file and the guide can be far ahead. I do wish the group was a little smaller for that reason. The Capuchin Crypts were absolutely stunning — Christian bones arranged into beautiful, respectful designs. Nothing creepy about it. It felt holy. The little church attached took my breath away. Honestly, I could have spent a whole day just touring churches in Rome after that. The catacombs were fascinating — a winding maze of history and resting places. It is tight in there though. If you get claustrophobic, or if stairs and uneven footing are difficult for you, just be aware this part may be challenging. There’s also that classic underground smell (mild mildew), so allergy friends… heads up. But overall? The history, the reverence, the storytelling… unforgettable. I’m so glad we did it. This was my favorite tour in Rome.

The Capuchin Tomb takes some getting used to, but the catacombs are great and the tour here was very exciting.

The guide was good. We arrived just before our tour time of 5:30, but they had already started the tour at 5:20. Apparently that’s when it was to start but I had the Viator app time that told me different. Anyways, we caught up with the tour. Were taken to a church/museum to look at some relics and such before going to look at the bones of monks in the crypts! Then we travelled out to the suburbs to see the catacombs which were basically holes in the walls of the tunnels. Being led by a nun, there was lots of history or religion and such which maybe I just wasn’t in the mood for. I paid basically the same amount of money for a tour of the coliseum that was way longer and way better. Totally not worth the money for this tour!

Both locations incredible and we’re so pleased we saw them. The guide was knowledgeable and comfortable in her role. The drivers between venues well organised. The site switched at some point during the booking process from AUD TO USD so we ended up paying AU$300+ which is extortionate. We wouldn’t have booked at that price.
