Pick up from your accommodation location in Amman/Dead Sea and transfer to Mujib Biosphere Reserve (1.5 Hours’ drive), The Siq trail starts at the Visitor Center near the Mujib Bridge, where you will take the cantilevered walkway over the dam and follow the course of the river between towering sandstone cliffs to the base of a large waterfall. One of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had. The rock formation with the flowing green water created a spectacular landscape that is picture perfect. At first I was apprehensive about hiking through slowing water and climb up some fallen rocks, but it turned out not to be as difficult as it seems. There are sections requiring strength and agility to climb, but there are ropes and ladders to help. The water flow at some narrow sections can be rapid and difficult to balance. As long as you walk carefully and find your footing on the rocky grounds, it should be ok. You don’t need a guide to go into the trail with you. You can rent proper shoes and waterproof bags if necessary. Life vests are provided with the ticket. A definite must do.
