Waipara Springs, founding winery and restaurant of the Waipara Region, was established in 1989 and remains an entirely owned and operated Family Estate located in the heart of the Waipara Valley, approximately 60 kilometers north of Christchurch, New Zealand. It stands as one of the founding wineries in the region and is now managed by the third generation of the family. We respect the importance of our customers and ensure that the service we provide is in keeping with their expectations.

5.00We had an absolutely fantastic winery tour from Christchurch to Waipara with Jorge as our driver. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, relaxing, and incredibly enjoyable. Jorge was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole journey feel special. He shared interesting local insights along the way and ensured we were comfortable throughout the trip. The scenic drive itself was stunning, with beautiful countryside views that made the journey just as memorable as the destinations. The wineries we visited were excellent, offering a great selection of wines to taste. Each stop had its own charm, and the tastings were well-paced and enjoyable. The food was also a highlight—delicious, fresh, and perfectly paired with the wines.

5.00We had a great half-day Waipara winery tour from Christchurch with Steve. We visited a few wineries, enjoyed wine tastings, and did a vineyard field tour. Steve was a fantastic driver and guide. He also took us to a great pie stop with fresh, tasty, large pies!

5.00Beautiful scenery and a fantastic winery tour experience with Jorge. We visited 3 wineries and enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Waipara Springs Winery. It was great tasting local wines while learning about the wine-making process, and we even had the chance to explore the vineyards on a field trip. The region is just about an hour’s drive from Christchurch, making it a perfect day trip. Highly recommended!

5.00I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a unique and festive holiday outing! We had a great time visiting a number or wineries which involved tasting, food and a very knowledgeable driver which made the day a real blast. Amazing day out! I would highly recommend.
