It’s worth it to pay extra to tour the Forest with a guide. Ours showed and taught us things I would never have noticed or thought about. I appreciated having fewer people in the forest compared to Monte Verde.

We were expecting a rainy day. Nevertheless we decided to go on our tour as scheduled. The tour operators provided us with walking sticks to help prevent us from falling on slippery slopes. Guillermo, our guide, explained to us the difference between the two levels of the cloud forests. He showed us again the interaction of insects, fungi, and plants, helping each other’s evolution. He is observant of his surroundings & as a result, we were able to watch several monkeys & a few birds too. Such a memorable experience! We are now enjoying some amazing photos of the wildlife, courtesy of Wady the tour guide’s assistant.

It was like walking into a fairytale in the middle of the cloud forest. Not an easy walk because the path is muddy but the surrounding is amazing

We visited the Santa Elena cloud forest on our last day in Monteverde. Carlos our guide was excellent and we enjoyed the extensive tour very much. Lots to see and especially to hear. Not to be missed .

We had a very pleasant experience in Monteverde with Sindy and Wady, both were very attentive to our needs and expectations. In the group we had people with different interests, in my case I wanted to see the Three-wattled Bellbird and thanks to Sinwa tours it was possible. The warmth of our hosts was something very remarkable, it was a pleasure to meet them.
