What To Expect
A stop at the most amazing bougatsa. The most traditional one. A place to visit.
Chania Town
This experience is going to give you the opportunity to taste an abundance of local products, from the greatest Cretan producers. From the classic Raki / Tsikoudia, to Cretan Bougatsa, the local varieties of local Cheese, olives, and even the very best sweets. In order to make this tour unique, we have added a visit to a local herbs and products store, (which, among locals, is considered the most secret gem) and also a visit to the best traditional manufacturer of Cretan knives. We visit both the modern and the old town. We get to see on our way, the Market (which is under reconstruction) the charming narrow streets of the old town and the beauty of the Venetian Port. (this tour is not provided by a licensed guide).

Plenty of small (or bigger) snacks are included in this small tour. Cheese, Olives, Bougatsa, Loukoumades, kalitsounia and some other small sized snacks ( tours after 11: pita gyros as well).

5.00Absolutely amazing tour to start my chania trip off! Christos was super friendly and welcoming and he took us to so many places that were very authentic, only had Greek and we would not have been able to perhaps order or read the menu. Lots of back stories of the different dishes as well, coming from someone who is not very familiar with Greek cuisine this was great. The length was also a good amount and good amount of walking (not too much, yet you will feel like you were walking off some of the food!). All in all highly recommend and great English as well!

5.00An amazing food tour and day in Chania with Christos of Blessed Crete Tours. We booked this tour nearly a year in advance with Christos. He was a great communicator, helped us plan our day, and was very proactive. Christos was on-time for our Chania food walking tour. He was very passionate about his home city, ensured we had a truly great day in Chania, and for the food he presented on his tour. We had a number of great food and dessert stops. He planned a stop in an herb store with Yannis, a grocery store for cheese tasting, and a Olive Oil and Vinegar tasting. Christos has a mastery of English. He effectively managed our tour time. As we walked through the old town we met a gentlemen Christos knew who was the 6th generation owner of his home which was 400 years old. Mr Kosta opened his home so freely to show us his house and the history therein. Christos led us through the Old Town and Port area. He ensured we knew where we were going and made further recommendations. What a great food tour in Chania. It was one of the best we have taken. I highly recommend Christos and Blessed Crete food tours. Especially for cruisers. Loved it. Thank you Christos. Best

5.00John, our guide, provided so much history and background information on Chania and the island of Crete. He took us for Greek pastries, bougatsa with Greek coffee, moussaka, chocolate loukoumades, a tea shop, a market store for olive oil, vinegar, honey and raki tastings. Then we wandered through the Venetian harbor and finished at leather alley. Definitely recommend it as a good intro to Crete as all our other guides said this is one of the best islands to visit.

5.00This is absolutely the best tour out there and Christos is fantastic!! He is personable, provides a wealth of knowledge and organizes the tour for the most incredible experience!! We got to taste a wide variety of foods, mostly from restaurants that have been family run for decades that we wouldn’t have known to visit just by the average google search. All the food was incredible, and the staff was very personable! If I could rate it 10 stars I would!!
