It must have been the Daily Telegraph that a couple of years ago mentioned a reason to visit each Greek island. For Crete, the main reason was the food. Locals couldn't agree more, as 90% of the Greek islands might have unparalleled beauty, but Crete offers the best quality of food on top of that as well. For this reason, a food tour in town would have been the very best idea.
This experience is going to give you the opportunity to taste an abundance of local products, from the greatest Cretan producers. From the classic Raki / Tsikoudia, to Cretan Bougatsa, the local varieties of local Cheese, olives, and even the very best sweets.
In order to make this tour unique, we have added a visit to a local herbs and products store, (which, among locals, is considered the most secret gem) and also a visit to the best traditional manufacturer of Cretan knives.
In a few words, if someone is in Crete in order to experience its authenticity, this tour is exactly what they need.

Our wonderful tour guide, Christos, was great, and the food was amazing. The places we visited were also popular resident hangouts, which implied to us that we were getting the best of the best. The servings were so generous that I couldn't finish everything. To us, the tour guide makes the tour, and Christos definitely made this an unforgettable tour!!

I honestly can’t recommend this experience enough! Christos was amazing — super friendly, full of interesting information, and he knew all the best spots to take us. The food was absolutely delicious (and there was so much of it!) — we were so full we didn’t even need dinner afterwards. Huge thanks to Christos for making it such a fun and memorable.

This was a great tour and we had so much fun! Make sure to arrive hungry because we were very full by the end of the tour. We also learned of many great places to shop and eat.

We had the best time on this walking food tour in Crete! It was such a fun way to explore the city while tasting all the local favorites. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made everything feel relaxed—like exploring with a local friend. We tried so many delicious bites, from fresh cheeses and olive oil to traditional pastries and raki. The pace was easy, with plenty of stops to enjoy the food and take in the atmosphere. By the end, we felt full, happy, and like we got a true taste of Cretan culture. Highly recommend if you want to eat well and see the city in a unique way!

Wonderful tour with Christos. We ate delicious foods including the best gyros I had while in Greece. Chania town is beautiful and this tour highlights that. It was fun, there were laughs and everyone enjoyed themselves.
