Join me for an authentic walk through the historic Medina of Tunis, a UNESCO World Heritage site filled with winding alleys, vibrant souks, and centuries-old monuments. Together, we’ll explore hidden mosques, madrasas, shrines, and pass through lively markets full of colors, scents, and sounds.
We’ll also stop by colonial-era landmarks like the Cathedral of Saint Vincent de Paul and the bustling Marché Central, before taking a break at a traditional café tucked inside the Medina — a great moment to relax and experience local life.
Our journey ends in Kasbah Square, a site rich in history and a powerful symbol of modern Tunisia.

St. Vincent de Paul Cathedral
We’ll stop in front of the Cathedral of Saint Vincent de Paul — one of the last reminders of the French colonial era in downtown Tunis. With its mix of Moorish and Romanesque styles, this impressive church stands out in a mostly Muslim city. I’ll share with you its fascinating history, the symbolism behind its design, and how it fits into the story of modern Tunis.
Marche central de Tunis, Fondouk El Ghala
We’ll pass by the vibrant Marché Central — the main market of Tunis and a true feast for the senses. You’ll see colorful displays of fresh fruits, vegetables, fish, spices, and flowers, all in a lively atmosphere full of local energy. I’ll tell you how this market has been at the heart of daily life in Tunis for over a century, and we’ll talk about what Tunisians typically shop for, eat, and cook. It’s a great place to feel the real rhythm of the city.

Aladino is very knowledgeable, generous with his time as well as expenditures for water, tea and other items to ensure you have an enjoyable tour. This was an excellent activity for our first full day in Tunis (too early for our day of arrival), both for seeing UNESCO World Heritage medina but also getting tips on visiting other sites in and near Tunis. Aladino clearly has many friends who he supports in conducting his tour.

The visit to the oldest tea house in the medina was so beautiful and authentic! Alladino really made this tour come alive for the group. He has great energy, accepts all questions while providing insight into local life with great storytelling and humor. He treated us to a taste of a Tunisian treat and tea/lemonade . We loved the chance to sit at the tea house and share travel stories with other members of the group. Our trip was made immeasurably better having had this experience. Thank you.

I cannot reccomend this tour enough. Aladino was amazing and put together a fantastic tour. It was clear he wanted us to have a good time while also provide an authentic representation of the country he loves. If you’re in Tunis, you have to take this tour.

Aladdin was an absolutely phenomenal tour guide. He taught us so many interesting things about Tunisia’s history, culture, and identity. This definitely helped me see Tunis in en entirely new light, and I am so happy with everything that I was able to learn!

Helpful, attentive: Moises takes the time for everyone and makes sure everything goes as well as possible. Good organization, nice meetings. I forgot my card by inattention in a shop: Moises contacted me less than an hour after I left so that I could do what was necessary to help me. In short nothing wrong and I recommend this visit to everyone!

We had one of the most amazing walking tour with Aladin. Very passionate about his country, he provided a personal touch so we can feel the local culture such as dates, tea and some secret terrace view over the mosque Highly recommended!
